Hi Tox,

Very saddened to hear the news.

Blunt was amongst the first dMw'ers I got to know as I joined, with several evenings every week dedicated to duking it out in various shooters. He was also a big part of what made the LAN's a great experience for me, with quickfire wit and pints as his weapons of choice.

He will be missed.

Hi Jack,

So so sad to hear this. Pete was truly one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.  He was the first person I met in dMw and the reason I am here after stumbling across the CoD4 server all those years ago.  He encouraged me to attend my first LAN after weeks of persuasion and even met me outside the LAN room when I arrived as I was too anxious to to go in on my own.  I have some great memories from the countless nights of playing CoD and CS with him and can still hear his laugh from the countless sneaky knife attacks.

Thoughts are with you and your family Jack, he will be sorely missed, a great guy and a true gent.

So sad. He was lovely to me as a newcomer to dmw and as a leader in the counterstrike world. I totally agree that he typified the dmw way.

Lots of love to you and your family, Tox.

sulky_uk

so sorry to hear, he was a proper gent always took the time to help new players to cs and would always stop for a natter at the lan

Condolences to you all

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

So sorry to hear that, Tox.

I fondly recall the endless amusing banter with Pete, playing CS until far too late many a times. Pete was a legend and will be missed.

My thoughts go out to you and your family.

RIP Pete.

This is sad news indeed.

Blunt was a proper character and he was well loved by all. I think everyone has a story to tell about him.

A great loss and he will be sadly missed.

My sincerest condolences to you and your family.

Hi Tox
So sorry to hear about this sad news.

I was very lucky to meet Blunt a few times at LANs and he was a true Gentleman. Even to new people he was happy to sit and talk even if was terrible at CS he would happily play and offer advice. My main memory's of him is at Poker at lan, had such a good poker face and no matter how much he drank he would always win. Was a pleasure and honour to have met and know him.

Thoughts to his lovely family he has left behind, Will toast to him and the memory's of him.

Pete was the best of us, he was the reason I joined dmw, kept going on about how awesome the lan events were and that I should come along. Love to you Tox and your family thank you for to letting us all know.

So sorry to hear these news but thanks for letting us know.

He was a great person who will be missed but the memory of him will stay with everyone who met him.

My condolences to you and your family.
Maybe there\'s something to be said for being different. We are who we are. What more could we ask for?

Sorry to hear that. Cancer is a journey that no-one wants to travel, but when you do this a good community that listens and understands.

Peace.

My condolences Tox - to you and the rest of the family.

I remember meeting Blunt and NVG when they picked this monkey up from the side of Whiteladies road in Bristol and ferried me to March for my first dMw lan (I think their first but my brain is getting older!). Three of us plus bags, big desktop cases and four massive CRT monitors did a good job of filling the hatchback: a cramped but fun journey with such excellent company, and many more lan meetups since. All round great person, very glad I met him. He is missed already.

Raised a glass or two tonight 🍺 cheers Pete!

So sad to hear this and have been going between tears in my eyes and a smile on my face when I think about the  time spent with Pete at the LANs and in game on CS.  He was an amazing bloke and this thread shows the impact he had on dMw and it's members.

My deepest condolences to you and the rest of the family.

Hi Jack,

So sorry to hear the bad news but thank you as this gives us a small chance to hopefully let you know something nice about your dad (which you probably already knew).
My condolences to you and your family.
I got the knews today and got a bit of a lump in my throat...

I've played so many games with him in CS and BF. Especially the Friday evenings "after the watershed" was so much fun. He tryed knifing me so many times in CS and failed a few times but kept trying and when he got me we had a great laugh about it (it costed him a few flashbangs and half his team).
Meeting him and NVG at the LAN and having a beer with him was an honour, lateron with you also. Ah man, I need to check where I have my pictures of those and see if I can repost a few. Your dad was an awesome man, sometimes when he was not saying alot ment more then anything if you know what I mean. He helped me to cool off a few times by doing that.

May the lag where ever he plays now be none and his gaming as always: awesome. I will raise my glass to him also.

Greetings, Dutch Pete...

RIP Blunt

When I joined dMw and wanted to play CSGO he was the most helpful welcoming person ever. He extended that friendliness at my first LAN.

A great guy who will be truly missed.

Very sorry to hear this.  Blunt was one of the people i think of as the heart of dMw being around from before i became a member.  I always really enjoyed playing with him and found him to be so laid back and friendly.  Very sad that he has left us.
