Hmmm, I dont remember the old demo versions being quite this hard to drive!

The GT just spins relentlessly, it's far worse than I remember the turbo ever being even! Not got the credits back again yet to get the GT-turbo

The GTI keeps trying to spin round under breaking... I'm thinking because of the drivers weight? Adding a passenger to balance the weight of the driver has helped, but obviously weighs down the car a bit more. I remember being able to turn the driver off in the old demos, I gather you can't do that anymore?

I'm thinking analog control for the steering is getting more necessary :( as the kb controls dont react speedily enough, and if I turn the sensitivity up I find myself spinning all the time. grrr.

I'm taking it you use the keyboard?

The new patch brought the keyboarders in line with the analogue and steering wheel users (more realistic control)
My advice is if you like the game or driving games buy a steering wheel it is well worth it.

Also a lot of the spinning problem is down to tweaking settings, go read up on setting up your car at the lfs forum.

yes, using keyboard. Cant really justify buying a decent wheel at the moment, too much other stuff my pc needs first! <_< dvd-drive, good audio, quieter psu&fans new cpu, new gpu, bigger hdd

I've got back into the GTI a little bit avec kb assistance, but I have a feeling it'll still pull to the right if I switch assistance off due to the drivers weight under breaking. Problem is key-tapping just isn't the same as a slight left turn on a wheel  Think I may have overdone it on the fiddling front at home. Ah well, gonna have to reset it all back to default, start again. thought I'd remembered my old setups at least vaguely! At least I'm in the 1:44's again :coolio: gimme a few weeks and maybe I'll get back down to 1:40...

belive it or not...... after the recent updates to keyboard steering i think the mouse is the way to go if u have no wheel avalable :eyebrow: but its a slow learning curve after getting previous good times
It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shakes, the shakes become a warning. It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion
