Here's the mid-March 2004 update on the F@H Team 33597, how we have done and where we are headed :)

Team Rank:
The team kicked off on 31st August 2003, so we have not been going that long, but we have made significant progress since then moving from our initial team rank of over 30,000th, down into the top 5000, top 3000, top 1000 (on 15th September), top 500, 362nd (12th September), 273rd (31st October), 205th (29th November), 150th (1st February 2004) and are now ranked 130th in the world

Team size:
Has now increased to 51 members (from 43) with the addition of some new members and a few dopplegangers. :D

Current Folding Rate:
Our folding rate is now 12,648 ppw (about the same as the January figures), but I know we have several members about to bring new hardware online so I'm hoping to see an increase by the time the next update is written.

The current folding rate has pushed as ahead of Tweaktown who have been chasing us hard since we passed them about 4 months back, but they don't seem able to match our sustained folding rate - w2g peeps   We are now about 24,000 points ahead of them and our lead is getting bigger all the time.

World Rank 300th:
We achieved this as predicted, just prior to the LAN on 24th October 2003.  Way to go peeps :worship:

World Rank 200th:
We achieved this as expected on 1st December 2003.

World Rank 150th:
We achieved this on 1st February 2004 :D

100,000 Team Points:
We achieved the 100,000 points mark earlier than predicted due to Oldie and Gandalf's massive effort - we achieved the goal on 26th November 2003.

200,000 Team Points:
We achieved this on 28th January 2004.

300,000 Team Points:
We achieved this on 18th March and our total today is now 302,176 points.  300,000 points currently equates to a World Ranking of 131st.

Top 100:
Between us and the top 100 there are now 5 teams that fold faster than our current rate (up from 4 in January), but we have been overhauled by two massive folders since then and a third is coming up behind us faster than you'd like to know.  However those three mega-folding teams are destined for the top 100 real soon so shouldn't affect our progress to much.  We are still on track to break into the elite Top 100 rank in 2004, it's still bit far away to tell exactly when, but an educated guess still says somewhere around July/August 2004.

  • 1,472nd - TeaLeaf 47,095 points
  • 2,521st - Zok 30,690 points
  • 2,870th - Gandalf-LoJ 27,510 points
  • 3,131st - OldBloke 25,583 points
  • 4,009th - BigFatCat 20,520 points
In order to get a Top 1,000 Folder ranking you currently need about 63,600 points.

We've done brialliantly in our first six months, but the challenge continues and real progress will now depend upon more members joining and in particular borging more machines!.  The big teams have a large number of people consistently folding well over 1,000 points per week so let's go out there and try to find those currently unused machines and borg them for the team

Borg more to fold faster
