Dr Sadako

I have been thinking about training, matches, MR12 style of play etc.

We could stage a Zombies Vs. Ghosts match every week (or every 2, 3, 4 week depending on our other match schedule). Each team figures out their own tactics and we play MR12 type of game with 5x5 or 6x6.
We ALL go into IRC afterwards and discuss tactics, pro and cons etc.
(No bashing of each others heads. We are all in the same clan so we all benefit from learning and all lose if someone feels bashed.) This could improve our MR12 type of skills. Those who don't play follow with HLTV if possible.

There are some maps that are played more than other in the matches so we should focus on just a few.

inferno
prodigy
cbble

A maybe idea:
The losing team picks the map for next match and the team for the opposite side together with the teamleader for that team. (The teams must be picked so everybody plays. E.g. it is bad if Frenzy is never picked due to fear of being slaughtered. He needs practice too.) This way we get mixed teams and people need to play with others than their regular fighting buddy.

What do you think

Sounds like a good idea to me, getting some MR12 practice to help with the match days. I know I could do with it.

An excellent idea. Nice one Sadako.

PS Apologies to all for being as sharp as the front edge of a fogbank last night. Sadako, you shoulda pulled the trigger :-)

No need to apologise to Sadako for that - it's easy to explain.

we should play mixed teams, to even it out and that way see if the tatics work.

Did anything ever come of this?

I'm obviously down to play some matches now. I've read the tactics pages but if and when I'mpicked I'm going to be worse than usual without some practice time.
Are there any regular practice sessions, should we have some, have I missed some glaringly obvious posts or comments that answer these questions?

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

We have had some good practice games and they tend to be played before a match....but at the moment we have no fixed slot for a practice

It depends on what people want...just a warm up game or detailed tactics and positions...

The SLs and 2ic's are currently discussing a series of practice sessions to bring everyone (new members and old) up to speed on our tactics for various maps.  Please hold a while whilst the big cheeses (that'll be Sadako & JAS   ) decide what, where and when.

There will be some praccies forthcoming shortly on the maps we have matches on later this month, so hold fire peeps and details will be posted real soon.

Tip:  Read the tactics on de_aztec (we have 8 matches in March on this map)!

Practice Walkthru / Match

OK pips we are trying to set up a practice slot before some matches in the near future (THIS SUNDAY)

This way I hope that we get a refresh of the tactics/positions /plays and a warm up for the pips playing in the match later

The times for these practice will be posted on the Availability page and games will be about 1 hour before the match…..time enough for a walkthrough and a game

So in a nutshell we need members support in being available to get enough members to hold a 5v5 6v6 ….. The players to used for the match later should be on the same team in the practice with the rest of us making up a team to challenge them

Overview

Please remember this is a practice…and as such it should be used as a learning tool not a frag fest so some simple guides may be required

This is an opportunity to work with other can members learn the way they move/camp.

The practice will not be PCS it will be match play

Awp may be used (dependent on the loosing team’s economy) but you may be asked to drop it for a scout

A quick walkthrough before each half to learn / refresh tactics

No need for the knife round â€" straight in with pistols

Dependent on availability we will try to get a SL on each team and also one watching to feedback any constructive comments

Follow the SL and try to give good communication

Read up on the tactics before the practice to get them fresh in your mind

Last bit

It would be useful for any comments on the practice to be posted so if something was good/bad shout up about it and bang it on the privet forum

Other than that, good idea :-)

BlueBall don’t  take the P***  do u not  know I am dyslexic….words look like numbers/letters/numbers to me to me

Example

The word ”lesbians” to me looks like “691ng5ister5w1thMeJu5twach1ng”

I am the only man alive to spell headgehog “egog” in his “A” level exam

â€¦.I would have died long ago if it was not for “F7” in WORD ……but…….

Alas the jig of it is…….. “Privet” is a word and as such corrupts my power of spelling via the use of “F7”

I was fully dyslexic but I know someone worse than me ( no F7 power) so now I am just partially dyslectic

Gh0st Face Killah

Strange the word Lesbians looks like that to me and I'm not dyslexic.

Anyway back to the topic. I think this is a good idea as it would give us newbies to the clan a chance to watch and learn the way team tactics are played by the more experienced members.
