never in my life has I heard of an inducment not working??  I guess you've put her off anying come or going heheheheh

Oh well, a C-section isnt all that bad, means you'll have to put in more effort helping out when she comes home  :eyebrow:

Benny

it was prostin?

Contractions started, but the baby just didn't want to engage, and the thingy didn't dilate.

You clearly are man with a full and comprehensive grasp of the process of child birth.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Benny

ok ok,

The hospital used prostin whihc increased the frequency of the contractions and indeed made them stronger, however the waters did not break and the cervix didn't dilate enough to be able to intervene and break the waters.

We no, however, await a natural birth, hopefully this week, otherwise they will try the prostin again on Monday, followed by a ceasarean if there is no progress....

I am even more excited when Benny shows us the handheld video. It  will come out on DVD (Directors Cut) right?.  :narnar:    :)  ;)

The "boss" ;) says have her walk up and down the stairs sideways - that can help the head engage through the movement of her pelvis (yes, I know - I have far too much information).

Is the baby in a back to back position (may say LOP or ROP in her notes)?  If so leaning forward positions (e.g. on all fours ;)  :)   , leaning forward over the kitchen table   :) ) (have you been there already ;) ?) can help the baby's back turn towards mum's front, which can help the head engage.

Have they done a scan to check where the cord is?

Also, she suggests Raspberry Leaf tablets rather than the tea, because the tea tastes like sh1t.  Also fresh pineapple may help (summat to do with enzymes)

Anyways, good luck - it'll be all over soon.....................

I write down everything I want to remember. That way, instead of spending a lot of time trying to remember what it is I wrote down, I spend the time looking for the paper I wrote it down on.

And here I was thinking that the deed was done..

Good Luck to you both. I'm sure it will go well.
