I must say, Splinter Cell 2 - Pandora tomorrow, on the PC was a superb game, completed yesterday.

Much easier on the PC than xbox due to having more sane control system than the console.

Looking forward to Thief 2 now :D.

I'm even more looking forward to thief 3  :narnar:

Sorry Grieg couldn't resist

I actually thought it was severely lacking compared to the original.

* The level design was no good (too much trial and error), and basically made it look like the design meetings went "hey, let's find another use for that cool grass we developed" "um, okay"

* The alarm system - while it first struck me as a great idea to have the enemies get tougher as you were more careless, it screwed it all up by resetting all the alarms a few times in the mission, taking out all of the tension of being on your "last" alarm from the original.

* The story kind of sucked too, feeling rather half-baked and tacked on, much like Athena Sword did for Raven Shield.

Also, the week after I bought it at full price, Game had an offer on it of half price if bought with any other product. That sucked too.

Thief 3 on the other hand is excellent - just remember to unbind the key to use third-person view, or you'll lose a lot of the atmosphere.
