Bravo to Charlie

I bin thinkin!

I know, scarey, but it's raining and not much else to do.

At present Bravo members can apply for Charlie status after 2 months. I feel that this may be too short and would like to suggest that 6 months be the minimum as a Bravo before we consider someone for Charlie status. This would help avoid a lot of the current requests for Charlie membership that are being turned down or null voted. It gives us more time to evaluate and get to know the people we are letting into Charlie. Many of the recent requests have been null voted by me because I just haven't seen the person on the servers and wouldn't know him from Adam even if I did. others have null voted for similar reasons.

Anyway... comments? thoughts? Directions to the nearest coat?

Oh, and while we are at it lets define the difference between NO and NULL vote.

My interpretation is as follows:

NO means just that, NO. it means that I wouldn't let your scummy little hide within a million miles of my AK47.

NULL means I have no opinion one way or the other.

Does that seem reasonable? if it does then i'll rephrase it  :devil:

Im happy with 2 months if that person has proved his comitment as a bravo member...IE promoted PCS and stuck by/enforced its guidlines

The main thing is they can they follow the calls made on MH (no matter how strange) and are they willing to make them .....

I dont put a great focus on skill level...i would rather have a team player than a solo crack shot any day

I agree if we all get the chance to see that person in the 2 months. My argument is based on the fact the too often we are getting null votes because we, the admins, haven't seen enough of the person in the 2 month period.  

if it was 6 months we would get a better feel for things - look at the comments being made about DuVeL and IceHawk now that they are in Charlie. TBH anyone in Charlie should not be acting in a way for anybody to feel the need to comment on them.

i just feel that 6 months as a Bravo might give us a better chance to sound out the way people really are.

Hmm thats a interesting point...As admins we should be clued in on the players from the point they wanted to join Bravo ....a vote of "null not yet i dont know them" makes me wonder how they got in bravo?

Just a thought    cause i have done it myself
