Don't say that I'll start worrying now :)

When I first posted they were advertising it at about £304 so it is a good drop in price.

This precisely what I keep wittering on about, it's all very well to advertise stuff at ANY price when the damned things are not in stock! How many Dadblamed reveiws have you read about x800xts and 6800ultras? Millions, that's how many! Can you buy one? No you can't!  :taz:  :taz:  :taz:  :taz:

Just order one Ron. Everybody is in short supply and it looks like people are ordering stock as fast as they sell it. Dabs do seem to have the basic 128mb 6800's in stock but all the 256mb cards are on order. Additionally all the ATi cards are on order.

Overclockers do have the following in stock:
Leadtek WinFast A400TDH GeForce 6800 GT 256MB DDR3 TV-Out/DVI (AGP) - OEM (GX-034-LT)
Point of View GeForce 6800 Ultra 256MB DDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (AGP) - Retail (GX-002-PV)
Asus ATI Radeon AX800 Pro/TVD 256MB DDR3 VIVO TV-Out/DVI (AGP) - Retail (GX-044-AS)

so make your mind up and go buy one FFS :D ;)  You know it makes sense!

I've cancelled the ASUS card and ordered a PNY. Why? because the Asus isn't a GT!!!. The amount of memory fitted, the GPU clock and memory clock would all make you believe that it is a 6800GT but it only has 12 pipes not 16 so it is an overclocked normal 6800

Caveat Emptor I suppose

OK, I've ordered one of these ASUS AX800XT/TVD/256 beasties. I'll see which arrives first, that or HalfLife2!  :coolio:

I thought the GT had 12 pixel pipelines and the Ultra 16.

No. Ultra and GT are identical apart from clock speeds (GPU and Memory). The basic 6800 has lower clock speeds than the GT as well as 12 pipelines instead of 16.
