Did we really want an open challenge?

We have one on ED for the 9th August.  Was this deliberate or an accident?  With the open challenge we get no chance to vet the oppo.  I don't mind that there is one on there, but I just wanted to check someone had not accidently ticked the 'make it an open challenge' box when one of our other challenges was declined.
