Match Notes:
The match started a little late due to some 'no shows' but fortunately Waster & Brass stepped in to make up the numbers along with Charlie Company's -=[dMw]=-Zok.  Thanks for helping us out fellas

I have to apologise for not balancing the teams too well - I got it totally wrong and as a result the first half was a bit lop-sided :(  Bravo pulled out a good lead early on and  finished the round 11-1.  They won throughthe use of varied tactics and simple over-powering the CTs on the furst half of the match.  They were also helped by the fact that 2 of the Bravo-ish team did not have buy-scripts, so they were far slower out of spawn than was needed to beat things like a B rush.  Performance of the first half was Cadaver's record throughout the whole first 12 rounds.  Nicely played Bravo.

The second half started out much like the first when Bravo won the first 3 rounds, but then Bravo-ish really put the thinking hats on and started to vary their tactics and slowed the pace fo the game right down.  This clearly beat the Bravo's teams grey matter as they were racing around like squirrels on speed and as a result made a huge amount of noise.  Bravo-ish showed excellent patience in waiting for peeps to stick their heads out and then shooting them   Bravo-ish manged to claw their way back into this half and ran out a comfortable 7-5 winner as T.

Learning point for the second half for Bravo had to be (i) be patient and (ii) learn to vary your position each round (I won;t mention GhostMjr here as it would be unfair ;)).  Performance of the second half was Zok almost turning a 1v4 scernario into a win. Played Z :worship:

Minor point - some of the Bravo and Bravo-ish teams clearly need to pay more attention to controlling the recoil on their weapons.  Allowing for the 'high crosshair' bug within steam as a spectator, the crosshairs often ended up pointing at the sky instead of at the target who was in the process of shooting you.  Keep it to short bursts, keep pulling that crosshair down as the recoil pushes it upwards.

All in all it was a great match to spectate despite the apparently lop-sided scores, it was in fact a lot closer than that.  We may even do it again :D

Sn00ks

Yeah it was fun.  Thanks for admininninng TL.  :D  :winkiss:

One piece of advice if your CT, if you spawn near B go to B if your near to A go A. We had a few moments when people were running all the way across spawn to get to a site. That takes precious seconds which let the T's get the jump on us.

As CT's don't go hunting for them. Cover the routes to the site from the site and let them come to us.

Also having one in the middle to watch short A can be useful.

I'm as guilty as the next person for these little faux pas
I do exactly what the little voices tell me to.

I'd almost forgotten what matches were like...now I want more! :taz:

I nearly forgot the time. Got engrossed in another game and when I suddenly remembered and looked at my clock it read 20:28  squeezed myself in there with precious seconds to spare

Niel

Was a cracking wee game.

Seems the talk about doing this went on for months....and eventually we did it. Thanks to all involved....a special big thanks to TL for playing mum and keeping us ropey old Bravos in line. Cadaver was especially sadako like in the first half....and Peppster in the second half was a bad man to be up against.

Rather than start another thread and talk about doing this again....i propose that we do it on a regularish basis....every couple of weeks/ once a month...plan a day and stick to it ?

Cheers All  :D

target

Apologies for missing the match.

Completely forgot about it :(

/me grovels on the floor for forgiveness

I write down everything I want to remember. That way, instead of spending a lot of time trying to remember what it is I wrote down, I spend the time looking for the paper I wrote it down on.
