O Smitey The Mighty, please bestow your wisdom upon my unworthy self.

i've tried using Wally to convert to .wad's, but i usually get colours dropping and an ugly one colour instead.

So i tried Decal Converter, which has no problem with the palette and renders as it oughta everytime....but it's never as sharp as i've got with Wally in the past. i use PhotoPaint to create the bitmap and always have blue as the 256th colour, this works in DC but not in Wally. Any idea why?

Also, is it better to create the bitmap at 128x64 (this is the biggest size you can get away with, yes?) and then convert...or...is it better to paint it big (300% bigger 128x64) then shrink it down to 128x64 and then convert?

Any help or even a brief tutorial if you had the time, would be muchly appreciated!

Make it at 128X64 then you will see what it looks like at the size it is going to be used at.

Not sure why/what problem you are having with Wally send me the piccy ur trying to change and i will play with it.
i save mine as .JPG not .BMP i dont think this should cause any problems maybe it is just down to file size.
