Ok this is one of the sites im working on at the moment.

www.Spritz.co.uk

It is not finished. Its basically a bare bones of a site that needs alot of attention content wise (although it does have almost 4000 products in the db). My main reason for opening it up this early is to start the indexing with google and other SE. (i have issues still with the urls that arnt SE freindly, working on a mod_rewrite solution)

The site works fine from start to finish. You can order stuff etc. At the moment it does a poor job on the front page.

We have a lot of features to add to improve the marketing side of the site. Sales and promotions etc. imho the front page is shockingly crap and needs a good injection of time and effort. Also each product group (wigs, masks in the main menu) page needs some attention. :)

I'm in a team of 3 ppl. Its an acheivement as noone in the team have had much professional experiance made worse by the fact theres no senior IT ppl above us.

Its nothing as swish as FBGs site. (which looks fantastic btw)

also

One of the other sites we have out there is www.davidgrist.co.uk. The site is based on the same system as spritz,  it will eventually have a working shop when the payment gateway details are sorted.

ill stop babbling.

Ill try take all comments on the chin (its a weak chin so go easy  ) ;)

The only thing I don't like are the buttons outlined in blue lines, when you select catergories from the right hand side....

Other than that, are you David Grist?

but i dont think any of thme are on the site. The warehouse stocks around 22,000 items. Not all of them get on the website. They get into the catalogues though.

Ill see if i can dig out 1 or 2.

the sub menus have been pretty much left.

Those pages need alot more attention tbh. They will be extended to actualy display a few products from that catagory. Samples so to speak. I would like them to take up less room aswell.

Just made an alteration to the sub menus, have given them a similiar look to the main menu.

lol, im not david grist. Hes as world famour balloon modeller.  You wouldnt believe how much cash hes gets for twisting balloons. I tihnk hes in America at the moment doing conferences and stuff

That looks far too complicated a site for simple me.......it took me years to watch it all let alone even think about how long it took to write

We've been working on it since beginning of march. Most of its OO php (as far as thta can stretch) and its quite flexible where it needs to be. The sites we have at the moment all work of the same set of classes. We extended/inherit from the classes where we nede it to behave differently.

Im looking foward to migrating it to php 5 :)

haha u found the blow up sheep or is it the chocolate thong/willy?

lol king, the website only shows a fraction of whats in our warehouse. There are about 22,000 different products but the webby only has about 3,500. Youll probably guess the webby isn't our main outlet.

edit: ah u found some other inflatable.  lol
