it say you are currently running steam  when im not  and when it nearly works it says steam updating then does nothiong  then it goes to 'steam error'

BTW, my Steam monitor showed some activity on CS:CZ as well as CS:S???

i think i experienced the same problem as you guys last night. Had just installed CZ so thought it was partially that but then CS wouldn't load either.

I put it down to the fact that you cant do jack until all updates have been fully loaded, even if its CZ thats updating i couldn't play CS! Once it had all finished it worked fine.

I then for some reason had to restart steam to enter the server password. The password entry is buggy as hell.

Also, though i think this is my connection rather than CS/CZ, did anyone else suffere extremely intermitant lag? i couldn't play because it was so bad.
