Another review here and one more here.

Both links takes you straight to "conclusions" pages

In general the X800XT seems to beat 6800U by anything from a few percent to about 20% when you reach insane levels of detail AA and AF. Pretty much the reverse of Doom testing. No doubt both companies will now be beavering away to get tweaks in their drivers to bring performance up. In the long run we the consumer stand to win :)

nVidia or ATi? It doesn't really matter. IMHO the X800 Pro isn't such a good buy unless you can clock it to XT levels. The 6800Ultra and X800XT are both awesome cards but expensive. The 6800GT does well on price performance although obviosly not up with the X800XT.

'On order' doesn't have the same reality factor as 'it's in my mitts'

Good point well presented. I just had a trawl around my usual sources looking for an XT in stock. Not one of the suppliers I would normally use had any in stock. Yes some of them had Pro's in stock but nobody had the XT. Looks like your gonna have to wait me old mucker ;)

I'm hoping to get my GT tomorrow or Wednesday  :dribble:

Well, back when HL2 was first shown at E3 Valve's benchmarking gave nvidia cards around 10fps (if that) while radeon cards were giving out 60+ fps, so it's hardly surprising that nvidia cards are still behind. If anything though it shows how far Valve have pulled their socks up for nvidia users.
