Don´t know if this is the right place to ask this but here goes. Two friends of mine applied to play here about two weeks ago and still hasn´t got an answer.
Have you filled your quote of Swedes, did they mess their apps up? Are they rejected? Am i annyoing?  They are both members of N42 and know the pcs rules and lifestyle very well... hmm hope you understand this rant as i am quite drunk and not so good at English as you from England  :)

TeaLeaf

Congrats, I'm drunk too.  And I'm English, which doesn;t qualify me to know english any better than the next drunk.  But it is a bottle of my favourite rose that I blame - I recommend Marquis de Chameterac, a blinding little Bergerac rose from Monbazillac, hic  :D

I'll have a chat to Doggers to see what happened if you PM me thei details, but the best bet would be to get them to re-apply just in case the net-goblins swallowed their applications by mistake!

I can't think of any reason why they would have been turned down, particularly as they are ex-N42 players.

PM me or get them to re-apply.  Now....I have the corckscrew, but where did I put that second bottle?

Don´t know if this is the right place to ask this but here goes.   Yes it is.

Did they mess their apps up? Pass.
Are they rejected? Dont know.
Am i annyoing? A little, nowhere near as much as me.
They are both members of N42 and know the pcs rules and lifestyle very well... Go on
Hmm hope you understand this rant as i am quite drunk and not so good at English as you from England.  We can't all be as perfact as us English.

Glad to have been of help, see you around i hope.

The flip side of the 'shagging the boss' daughter' coin is 'you're out of a job'.  Well good luck, but I strongly recommend you read this little thread first as it may provide you with some survival tips:

As for the PM, well if it related to her then you may as well go mow the lawns, cos your weekend is screwed.  Otherwise yes it meant Private Message, as in click the small button marked PM at the bottom of this post.  Type the message to me in there et voila!

They have to join the mailing list to register.  If they didn't use their real email addresses, they won't see the email to confirm it really was them who subscribed.  If they don't reply to the confirmation email, that's it.  Game over, man.  Game over.

Maybe they should try again...?

There's a mailing list?  I remember replying to some advert in the cs newsgroup about a million years ago, but only ever got 1 mail back.  Have i been missing out on regular updates ever since.
I need information, i thrive on input !!

DeadMike

well.... I have now told them to re-apply. They both got the confirmation mail but then nothing happened (after they replied).

Thanks all for the help.

Mike.

sheepy

this application and maillist thimgy confuses me.
us old timers that have been around since doggers held the "open server" evening to trial every one and then said that we could all join 4 turning up.

Sheepy appears and begins to stroke my head. According to his slurred drunken speech I am "lovely and like a fuzzy felt". Thankfully he soon leaves and passes out somewhere. [/quote]

If it still works like it used to, then you should send the reply as detailed in the confirmation of email address email:
QuoteTo confirm the request, please send a message to mh-pcs-request@mailman.crosswired.org.uk, and either:

- maintain the subject line as is (the reply's additional "Re:" is
ok),

- or include the following line - and only the following line - in the
message body:

confirm XXXXXX

(Simply sending a 'reply' to this message should work from most email interfaces, since that usually leaves the subject line in the right form.)
If the reply is sent correctly then you should get one back that says:
QuoteWelcome to the MH-PCS@mailman.crosswired.org.uk mailing list! Thanks
for showing an interest in Professional Counterstrike in general, and
Meat Hook in particular.

If you haven't done so already, read up on MH PCS at
http://www.deadmen.co.uk - there are details you need to sort out
before joining a PCS game online.
