Sorry guys for letting you down again..
I am no nearer to finding a solution to the problem than 6 months ago. (same prob i have spoken about on the forums couple of times) so im going to have to make myself unavailable for matches untill i can find a solution.  I dont hold out much hope for solution as after 2 reinstalls and a reinstall of xp its not changed the situation.    Maybe next cs update will fix something  :?   But the last one didnt.  sorry again guys for letting you down.  On the bright side it got Frenzy on the team to deevolve some evos.  :D

What happens? Maybe we can work it out with you. Is there a link to previous forum posts?
Cheers, Bert

For one, though i think i have moaned in other places...

Also tonight i have tried to join mh and it has said invalid password (was right and wasnt typing with caps lock on) plus twice said i had invalid authentication info   couldnt write config.cfg or something like that.   Didnt have the file problem after the match but would crash every 20 secs or so or three times as soon as i had joined. Gave up then.  Have had blue screens before saying caused by grafx. driver but could not determine exact cause. but have tried every driver with no result. (gf3).  Burn test the system, the card is stable and in 3d test.  Main situation is it trashes the whole system after playing cs some of the time. explorer will stop responding along with other things intermittently.  this only gets resolved by a disk check with fix.  same goes with cs which can be stable for a whole nights play if i dont exit a server once on for the first time. if i do it all starts.  However this isnt always the case like tonight. Didnt go on mh because of this prob before the match, but it happened anyway.  This is becoming more of a recurrence, i am rather stuck to know what to do.

Quotemaybe its XP, loose it and revert back to win2000,

I have both 2000prof and win98SE installed and a bootloader to select which OS to use. I only use win98SE for gaming. I recommend it. Never any problems with drivers etc.

Had a whole other set of problems with me and 98se but upgraded the sys since and tried xp to eliminate the reliability probs, which it did and then gave me a whole other set of probs instead.  :x

from a cmd prompt, you must type c: [enter]

then chkdsk /F [enter]

then y [enter]

reboot, and the disk will check and repair. If you forget the /F it will only run in read only mode so won't fix any errors.

Sorry was just saying what it had to repair this time.  So hadnt got it to fix.   Wondered wether it would throw any light on the cause.
