lo guys, thanks for letting me pass the double doors.

wow, where do i start. Lots to read.

do u lot use satstrat? or similar program

QuoteFront Tactics On Line tries to be a program to discuss strategies for multiplayer games, allowing the connection of several users simultaneously, and working like a chat program. Its based on SatStrat, a popular Counter-Strike adding some features (and not supporting, at the moment, other ones...).
Ftol has a workspace with a chat panel and a maps panel. The chat panel works like other chat-like programs, showing the users connected and the comments they write. The maps panel has a similar functionality: it allow a user to load a map (a gif file); then this map is loaded in every user workspace. Then they can paint icons in the map to discuss tactics.
There's not a map limit to load into ftol, and they can be loaded in two ways: public or private. If private, the map is only loaded in the user workspace; if public, is loaded in all users workspace.
The most important feature is that ftol is user configurable, unlike SatStrat. A user can add new icons (gif images) representing any multiplayer game, and then the tactics can be more accurated.

Quote S2 SaTstrat is a strategy planner for Counter-Strike allowing up to 32 users to connect
to a host and draw lines, dots and icons on 2d overhead views of all popular
counter-strike maps. Trying to explain how a match should be played and where everyone
is supposed to be at every given point can be hard but now you can exchange your ideas
in realtime, discuss and come up with the ultimate strategy for the war tonight.

satstrat itself appears dead, there are a few links around with downloads but the offcial site seems fubar.

It has been around 2-3 years snce i saw this program.

Nope we don't use it.  We use good old voice comms and the forums here to upload maps and discuss taccies.  Check the tactics section for further discussion and to get yourself up to speed on the way we usually deploy our map taccies.

Btw, welcome to the Charlie bits.......

Lo m8, welcome to this section...
And VC work usually pretty good and reading the maptactics before a match works pretty well aswell. If we play a match we get to hold certain points on the map every round so don't worry..

Tactics are relatively straight forward. The round start and we rush about waving our arms in the air screaming "They're coming! They're coming!".

As soon as they arrive we quickly lie down in a heap on the floor and wait for the next round to begin. Easy.

You'll probably need to prctice this a bit. When I've seen you on the servers you often take a long time to lie down. And sometimes you don't appear to lie down at all! This is not really acceptable. If you need any help please PM me and I'll meet you on a server for some instruction. Without wishing to sound arrogant I am in fact one of the best -=[dMw]=- players we have, when it comes to lieing down.
