WAD'S

Dunno wots happening , but after talkin' to other peeps it seems strange things are afoot......

The other night the map was changed to Tundra and I was unable to join 'cos cs wouldn't open because it couldn't find valve/_tundra.wad
I found this strange 'cos its an old map & I have played it numerous times
but it looks like I need to d/load it again to find the file !!
I wouldn't have mentioned it but both jas and smite have had similar probs (both times with the jos.wad for Volare).
Whilst lookin' into this prob it has shown me that these goddamn wad files are everywhere not in their own specific files like normal ..so does this mean u have to d/load the map every time you lose the .wad 'cos u will never find where it should be if it can't be found

Any ideas

Afaik jos.wad is a standard file that comes when you install half life so it's not Volare related, Volare probably just uses some of the textures from it.  While _tundra.wad is obviously missing as its really called as_tundra.wad  :roll:

couldn't remember wot prefix came from the missing wad ....but thanks to jb it was...... as      but the fact is I couldn't join in on mh when I've played this map previously !!!!

As for the jos.wad that seemed to just pop up when trying to get on Volare for jas & smite.......nothing to do with Tundra !!
