I should also note that the headset I recommended is something I've primarily used for gaming. For me personally, the music I listen to through these headphones sounds good, but I've not got anything of a higher quality to compare that to, so I wouldn't know what to listen for. As a gaming headset though, my recommendation remains.

Thanks for the mention Smilo, but I will defer to the advice from Lion and Dex on this one.

Gaming headsets are simply no longer my area. I have transcended into true audiofool snobbery and listen only to ridiculous and over priced wired headphones, often connected to things that glow and keep my room warm and toasty.

This all much to the constant dismay of both my wife and bank account.

 I have some level of respect for the snobbery because I couldn't deal with wired headphones after spending several years using wireless.

I got far too used to having the ability to get up and walk about with my headset on so when I went back to wired headphones (briefly before I got my current headset) I ended up snapping my head back repeatedly as I walked off while wearing them.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Thanks for the advice all, I ended up going with a pre-loved item that'll be used just for music :)

That is often the way to go. Go for used audiophile gear, then add a mod mike :D

Nice. Love mine. Use them on flights as the noise cancelling is brilliant and the sound is pretty good too!

Paid a lot more than £44, though. Nice find.

I was very lucky to get them for that, from eBay think my max bid was 75£ they'll come in handy for the flight when I go to Australia that's for sure.

That is a fantastic price (unless they're beaten to hell and smell of cat pee). For £44, I'd say you stole them!
Moderately used, they're worth 2-3 times that.

They look brand new to be fair :D I expected to pay more

CEX are knocking them out for £42.00 if anyone feels the need to grab a set?

I have a pair of these I bought a few years back. I use them exclusively for flying.

For £44 you can't go wrong. Enjoy!

Not sure the link is working? Sounds interesting (scuse the pun).
