TeamSpeak Server

To help those peeps who cannot find the TS server details in amongst the main and multi-paged thread!

Thanx to BigFatCat we have a TeamSpeak server to use when playing KnightOnline.

If you do not already have it then download the client software from here.

The server IP is home.bigfatcat.co.uk.   It uses default ports with the same password as for our TCS servers.  You do not need to put in a login name, but add your Nickname so that we know who has joined the channel eh?

Copy the server details to your local address book using the button on the server browse page and then set it as follows:



Obviously you want to pick your own Nickname not mine and leave whatever IP it gives you.

Try connecting from your local address book.

NB That this shows the IP for my server (which my firewall won't let anyone join  <_< ) so don't try to join BFC's Teamspeak Server using my IP

I only use Quick connect, goes much faster and you don't have to do all that settings stuff..,.

What TL told me to do:

Press Quickconnect and just put in the sparse detaisl required: IP, your nick and password. Et voila.

Edit:
IP:home.bigfatcat.co.uk, default port with the same password.
Nick: WhatEverYouWantToBeCalled
Password: as in Meathook server

But if you add it to your address book you dont have to enter details, just double click entry to connect

That assumes you have more than one TS server you regularly visit........which I don't.

But even with only one you would surely have to use quickconnect every time and type in the details or does it automatically add it to your address book. With it in your address book you never have to type the details again which was the point I was trying to make (badly )

Whenever I fire TeamSpeak up and open the Quick Connect dialogue, it always seems to have the details of the last server I "Quick Connected" to still in there.

If you are using teamspeak please select "Push to Talk" instead of "voice activated" for everyones well being. It is very disturbing when e.g. phones go off or ppl leave their headset near the computer fan that activates the microphone. Think of your fellow users. Also the "Push to Talk" feature will not break up your comms as a faulty setting on "voice activated" does.

For those who can't get their microphone to work properly join anyway. You can listen in and that makes it much easier than having to type everything.

For TS

The best way i have found is to right click on server ...then add server ...then pop in the details....thats it then saved....just repeat if you use more than one

Im with you Sadako ...push to talk is the way to go....it keeps it clean from background noise breaking up conversation
As for me i cant talk on it it screws up but im listening so just tell me who to hit
