I've sat in the front cockpit of a UK Apache (on the ground, but who cares :dribble: ), with work, when the pilot powered up the cannon. The hydraulics activating shook the whole airframe, you can just imagine what its like when firing.

It almost made wish I'd joined up....

I'm sure I'm not the only one to have seen the night video of one of these doing bad things to a group of Iraqi soldiers. I'm not posting links but it was unsettling to watch the firepower being used on real people

That's right, which is why they generally fire short bursts only.... very similar to the cannon on the A-10 Warthog

Stick a big gun on a helipcopter and amazingly it becomes an Apache, NOT.
