Problem with PS2

Hello guys, I'm having problems with my PS2. I've tried a Googlesearch and now I'll try it here.
I can't save or load from my original PS2 memorysticks. It's not the memorystick because I've bought a new one to test it with so it has to do something with the connections inside. Have any of you heart about the same faliure. Any suggestions?

I have a great heart for playstation failures. I can't help you with this one though.

Actually, I'v never owned a console. Sorry, just felt like being weird  :blink:
