Predator (Again)

I know we are due to have another look at the map rotation soon but I would love to have a night of predator on the server at some point. We just never seem to play it. It is a fun map :-)

Yeah I love Predator. Superb map and a map where you can play 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2 very easily. I played it on N42 against two guys as CT and because The CTs can take up positions right between sites and get to either very quickly it was possible to have a great game. You just have to watch for Ts coming up from the sewers into the bombsites. :wink:

de_predator is already on the server and has been played before. As you say, the next rotation review is not too far away anyway, but in the meantime remember that you can always vote it on. Type this in console:

admin_vote_map de_predator

Remember Oldie's warning to not use the admin_vote_map too regularly and more importantly, remember that not all MH players will have the map.

Is there an easy way to find out a list of all the maps on the server? Or can I assume that with dmw_pack2.zip installed I have everything I need?

I agree with Neutron, a list of current maps available on the server (as well as the current server rotation) would be very useful. We could then ensure that all of the maps we have are available for download so that there should not be a problem with people not having maps.

If there are any 56k'ers that need map packs I don't mind burning off a few CDs (as long as it is a few :-) and posting them out.

I notice that mappack 2 does not include predator, was it in pack 1?

Thanks for the rotation list. I can never find it in the forums (it's just me)

At some point in the future it may be a good idea to maintain the maplist and rotation on a webpage at the deadmen site. Most people would look there rather than the forums IMHO ;-)

Good idea, the web page thang has been put on our list of 'Things that we should do'.

Glad you like the number of maps - we have some real unusual ones in there - I'll try to post the FULL list when I get a chance.......
