I can just bring a 24 port 1900 switch along with me as a spare if the 3500s are not need as primary switches.

Save me biking home with thebeasts on my back, they are full depth hig density user switches and are not light.
Cheers, Bert

Is that 1900  filled with 100mbp full duplex ports??

Just wondering, as my 1924 is a 10mbps switch, with 2x100mbps uplink ports (i.e. not much use at the LAN)

The 3500s would be better, even if only one of them.  Better than the dMw D-Link 24 port
