Well the first round results left things as follows:

Team    W-D-L

APE 1-1-1
SAB 3-0-0
YG 0-1-2
ARM 1-0-2

Final:  SAB v APE

In the first half APE played CT and finished strongly with an 8-4 win.  The second half saw the advantage swing back around to SAB and CT.  Unfortunately, with APE having secured no worse than a draw and the scores standing at APE 4 - 7 SAB, the clock ran out and the map ended only 20 secs into the final round.

It can only be two things - either I forgot to reload the match config file at the start fo the second round, or the configs pooched up themselves.  I'll leave you to guess which 'cos I'm sure as whatsit that I don't know

The only fair thing to do at that point was call the whole final a DRAW.  Not as good as it could have been for APE and as good as it could get for SAB, but fair.

If it was me, my apologies, but I really honestly thoguht I had loaded the config file properly  :(   I'm now going off to my blue funk and will see you all on the other side........

Consolation FInal: YG v ARM

I have no idea what the consolation result was - please could someone post it here?  Thanks.

Thanks for all of your efforts in runnign the teams and making it enjoyable.  I hope that you had as much fun as I did, with the exception of that very last bit.

Regards

My Biatches i am proud of you, you were excellent.
I think our tactics really worked ie we didnt have any and just winged it at the time.

3rd place play-off:

de_nuke

As the knife rounds were causing the server to go tilt it was decided not to have a knife round but to decide teams via a pistol round.

ARM went CT and won the half 11-1. A superb solo effort by Gandalf for the point.

A very close and exciting second half saw the honours even at 6-6.

Well played all and thanks again to TeaLeaf and Sadako for organising the afternoon's events.  8)

Thanks to Benny for subbing for me in the final game    I was getting severe hassle from the other half.

A big thanks to my team for putting up with my cussin' and grumbling. It was a nightmare being SL, I suppose it gets easier with practice but I'm so used to being told what to do.

You all played well and the way we pulled off that draw on dust2 was remarkable after being down 8 - 4. We really showed some serious guts there.
Cheers, Bert
