CS:S

I know this is probably going over old ground. but why can't we have a pw'ed TCS CS:S server. I know people  will say "blah blah netcode"  & "blah blah server issues" But if BB can run a small server at home. surly  we could host one. I not sure if I'm speaking for anybody else but I know I would play more CS if it was on a TCS CS

Certainly up until recently there have been issues with netcode/prediction and the server would crash every 20 hours or so.

However, after the latest update my server has been running for 2 days without falling over so fingers crossed they have fixed things.

OB? Fancy cranking up Boomer for CS:S again to see if it runs stable with latest Source updates?

PS there is another source update so I've just taken my server offline to apply it. Normal service will be resumed shortly:

Fixed lag compensation invalidating bone cache for players moved back in time.
Fixed lag compensation interpolation error between 2 ticks

Yea i'd like a bit of CS:S. Only ever played bout 5 rounds of it but i get v bored on public servers, plus i tend to go very laggy. I think i've sorted that problem now, i just have to put up with little round shaddows and dodgy textures... Bring on CS:S!   :ph34r:

Just bought myself the HL2 and was scouting the CSS servers, feeling sad there is no dMw server where people actually cooperate...

Not sure but it might. Given we should have our new server in place soon I guess we might be better waiting for that rather than rocking the boat (remember the lag spikes we used to suffer)
