I will buy it but am concerned it will go the way of the other Battlefields. Another flash-in-the-pan
Oh and I'm not 100% anything atm.
BF2 certainly is putting on a good show.

We ( [dg] ) still very occasionally have little lans and the like and bf1942 has been one of the most played games at them. It's an excellent team game but you really have to play it as a team. Either TBF style or Clan-War style. If you manage to invade a server online and find a handful of team-players, or if there are at least 3 or 4 of you, then it can work too! :D

I haven't played an FPS for a while, haven't played anything for that matter.

But...I played BF last night and aside from the pubbers who weren't into co-operating, it was good. I  quite enjoyed raining artillery on Oldie and son. I think given a bit of organisation it would make a good tactical game, holding positions, clearing out new, utilising the commander more.

I'll be getting it....

I'm not sure yet, either the net code's crap or the servers nasty (only played it on ours atm) I keep getting conection errors all the time - not very usefull when trying to fly a plane & you find yourself a few foot away from the ground after it sorts itself out, & as its gonna be something I'm gonna be playing online alot..........

So is it just me or does it run fine for everyone else?

Doris

i was going to buy it....  but im not sure see what everyone says about it first .... then try it out ...  need a better connection to play it tbh

I get that too. Could be the demo, we'll need to see how the release goes :)

I'm on Blueyonder BTW just in case there is a common theme :)
