Hi all,

I'm having trouble connecting to the DMW servers in so much as they won't go into my steam favourites folder.

Does anyone know how to make a shortcut to the DMW servers and where the password goes etc on the command line?

Or, at least, if I have to run a game first to get to the console to then click connect xxx.xxx.xx.xx how do I put in the password?

THanks

I think you add +password xxxxx after the +connect 82.197.65.246:27018 <- for Razer

but I could be wrong

I allways go up there by starting the SteamIcon. Then select the server and PW comes up right away.

I know, but for some reason all my servers in favourites comes up as   so I can't connect via the steam icon. THerefore I'm thinking that it has to be via the desktop.

Well, you can also use a program called Xfire for it. It's something like the friendssystem but this allways works. It also saves your favourites and so. It keeps track of your gaminghours and all aswell.

There's plenty of other ways to view your fav servers, most of which are better than the ingame browser too.

Use gametiger weblinks such as:

Meathook
Razer

Samurize:
Samurize is the popular advanced system monitoring and desktop enhancement engine for Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/2003. IT professionals, overclockers, gamers and desktop modders alike use Samurize for system information, weather reports, news headlines and much much more.  Quite a complicated way of doing it but basically allows you to constantly have the server status viewed on screen to see if anyone's playing.

All seeing eye:
The All Seeing Eye, powered by Yahoo! is the world's most popular game server browser and match making application. Released in 2001, millions of gamers use The All Seeing Eye to find the best game server for all their favorite games such as Counter-Strike, Quake III, and Battlefield 1942. Using The All Seeing Eye will let you easily keep track of and connect with friends, both old and new, and play your favorite games with them.

I'm sure everyone's used All seeing eye at some stage in their playing lives, by far my fave of the server browsers although others are available.

HLSW:

Website seems to be down at the minute, it's still available for download but it's basically the same as All seeing eye, quite a few swear by it on here.

Shop around fella, the ingame thingy is good but there's plenty better out there.

Cheers guys (again).

I've downloaded that Sumurize thing as it looks great no matter what....

I'm also going to try this xfire as the HLSW is still offline..
Thanks
