I'm expecting this to be a long post, and I apologise in advance.

I hate to do this at such a good time for SoG (after making some good progress on the twins, and I really hope you get them down soon, and C'Thun will follow shortly after I'm sure) but I've decided to leave, this is for a number of reasons:

1. And this is the main reason: I miss raiding with my friends. Now, I'm not saying you're not my friends, I've enjoyed raiding with you, and it's been well over a year of many fun raids, with jokes shared and good times. However, it was Menedil who got me to join SoG, and I only really joined since Dalto and Voretex were also in the guild, I'm sure many people saw this coming when the rest of the Skeg Crew left some time ago.

2. I want to try raiding with another guild. This might seem like a strange reason to leave a guild after over a year, but I've only ever raided with SoG, and despite being lead by different people over the year (though mainly TL, who does a damn good job) I want to see how another guild takes bosses down, and how other people in different guilds prepare to get that much needed first kill.

3. I want to see some Naxx before TBC. Now, I'm not saying you won't be in Naxx soon, after tonight it will only be a matter of weeks, but once inside Naxx, I'm not sure how much SoG will be able to acheive before TBC is released, as there always seems to be some lack of focus, or someone slipping up in some way (take tonight as an example, with the small bugs being agroed).

I hope you can all understand my reasons for leaving, and that this was something I've been thinking about for a long time (I've actually been thinking about it before we killed Nef for the first time, and I spoke to Vargen about my leaving then, and he convinced me to stay). If you ever need a priest to help out with something, I'll be more than willing to help (assuming I'm not busy). Good luck on the twins, and on all your raids to come

When TBC goes live Ill be wanting to use the webspace for something else, and that alone, so I'm giving you a headsup (10 weeks should be enough time for the FM's to think of something :roflmao:). Tanales has the code for the site but to be honest you may as well use something else.

On topic: I switch to some FR gear in my bags in order to nerf my healing a bit, in an attempt to not get BA early on in the fight.

A suggestion about the loot thing.

I know alot of guilds have a channel . . where we have channel such as /sogdruids or something . . you could have a channel like "SoGloot" and in that channel u say 2 things ; what your after, and why u need it.

E.G

Nefarion has dropped asscandy.  At the moemnt it would kind of be like this.

Whisper "Vargen for asscandy"

/w vargen gief asscandy
/w vargen GIEF ASSCANDY
GIEF asscandy

Lolladin has top dkp so wins.

The sit im talking about would go like this.

Basically, its just a way of knowing WHO gets what loot. . so you wont ever get the possible "I woulda passed :/ but i didnt know u wanted it"

And you'll also find your friends will pass to you.

As for the SSH tunnelling, that's what I plan to do, it's just a case of finding a computer to route through

As some of you know, I'm going back to uni this year (yey me) and for the first year I might have an unholy connection that blocks most ports (for example the ports that are needed to be able to play WoW). I leave on the 24th, so I will be missing the raid that night more than likely, as I probably won't even have the internet set up where I'm living straight away. This will make Thursday's raid possibly the last one for a while.

I've also made a request to the officers to give me 2 weeks to get something sorted about being able to play WoW while I'm at uni before getting a demotion (saying I'm going away for 10 weeks is all well and good, but I doubt they want to leave me as a guardian for that long, would be better to replace me with someone who can raid during that time).

As the title says, this is not something that I want to do, but if I don't get something sorted, then I don't really have any choice. I just thought it'd be nice for the members of RG1 (along with the other members of SoG) to hear from me now, and not from the officers in 2 weeks before or after they demote me if I haven't gotten something sorted since then.

I'll still be around on the forums checking up on progress if I can't get something sorted :smile:

what do you think about this tallent build to BC?!?

I take it you're going for a build you can use to both heal in pve/pvp and deal some damage in pvp? If so then it's a pretty good build, but the increased crit of holy spells and no threat reduction could get you some agro if you heal early on in a fight, but that's why we have fade :tongue:

I've been playing around with the new talent calculator and have come up with a few builds that some people might like, or at least be able to use as a template with some alterations depending on how they play their class.

Circle of Renewal build
Holy Damage build
Shadow Damage build
Balanced Disc/Holy build
Balanced Disc/Holy build with Power Infusion

I hope this helps some people decide what they're going to do with their talents after BC is released :smile:

We had him in Voretex's pvp group the other day, he seemed to be a very good pvp'er (vore am pvp nazi, so he must of been a fairly decent player) and used TS and communicated well, might as well give him a chance.

Well, the priest BC talents and spells are now out, so I just thought I would ask you guys what you think of them and how you think you might spec.

I think I'm going to go for this spec. Pretty much an extension of my current build, and looks pretty good to me :smile:

Out of all the hunters on aszune ive played with you were always putting 100% in and without a doubt the best hunter ive played with, always top damage on the meters, always top KBs in BGs (with the help from some sexeh healing from me )
