This post might seem a bit odd after being a drama queen about being set to Soldier rank by accident...
But I have come to the conclusion that World of Warcraft does not give any of the fun or satisfaction anymore that it used to give me.

What is left for me in WoW at this time is the 1.5 Molten Core raid at Monday and Thursday
- I remember getting quite upset about the thought of not having that anymore.

Then I started wondering how much fun I actually still had only playing in MC.
And frankly, just MC doesnt cut it anymore for me and I do not have the time to join in on anything else
- not at the cost of things I can do in RL. You could say that after being forced away from WoW for a few weeks, the "loot-fever" has settled.

I will put WoW on ice for a while, maybe even close my account and see if the expansion will bring anything back to WoW that used to make me love this game so much.

Untill then I would like to thank you guys all for the fun times in WoW,
if there is anything I regret it would probably be not joining SOG sooner.

A special goodbye to Daedelus, SoulbringerX, Octain, Vanguish, Lunares and Bastet... It was was quite a ride.

The Clean Up / I quit
June 02, 2006, 09:24:50 AM
2 full weekends of 44 hours work added to normal working weeks with over-time dont make me the most rational person on the world.

I guess I just put myself out of the game instead of the other way around...

Maybe its for the best since I can only attend 1.5 raid in the week + missing out on raids because of job over-time...

What I do know is that that 1.5 raid was all there was left for me, and I felt the down-grade was un-called for.
I mentioned my upcomming raid troubles in guild-chat, our mile-stones at Guerrilla are extremely important.

If it was a mistake I would love to come back - but I am not expecting it to be that easy. If it is not a mistake then I just have to accept that my job does not allow me the game-play that is left in WoW. No hard feelings towards SoG.

Today I logged in to find out I was set back in rank to soldier.

After working my TANGO off 18 days in a row, including weekends this was the last thing I would have expected, or was willing to take.
My job requires me to put in extreme hours and dedication from time to time, sorry.

The bit of fun left for me in WoW was raiding with you guys, if that is taken away there is not much left for me to stay around for in WoW. I have no intention to stay in a guild where I can only read in guild-chat about the places and loot I still wanted to see, no matter how fun some of you guys might be to play with, in fact that would probably only make it harder.

I wish you guys the best of luck.

nice find!
I am kind of an add-on freak too,
and was wondering how much influence they would have on my zoning-times...

Odd... I have no troubles at all for what concerns crashing.
It does disappear from time to time, but closing an re-running TS and the program seems to work for me.

I found a small program that wil overlay the names of the people speaking in
Team Speak on top of the World of Warcraft graphics.

This will make raiding life for me a whole lot easier when it comes to
buff requests, emergency situations (dont touch my target!) etcetera.

I hope it can help out others too, to make Raids run just that bit smoother
which we seem to need at the moment in RG2.

It can be found at:
http://www.teamspeakoverlay.com/

Do remember to remove all the other nonsense it shows on screen.

edit: A link would be nice.... ehrm...

Well...

If the monitor does not even get a signal during boot up,
it must be hardware related.

Connect your monitor to another computer to see if it works.

Put your graphics card in another computer to see if it works.

If those 2 are working it is most likely your motherbord or memory,
as a defective processor will give you alot of violent bleeping. :)

Ranged DPS / Fire build 21/30/0

there is already one.. but you gonna have some talents in frost ;)

bdw, unless you want to try tanking (not recommended) you should try to keep away from high burst dam and multiple crits in a row.. cos trust me.. thats a whole cr apload of aggro.. and if you insist on tanking.. ille let you tank :P ille get aggro back after you die ;)

Iceblock only makes the Mage invulnerable for a short duration, in which he can only pray that the warrior will get aggro back.
I am hoping for something more alike the spells I had in EverQuest with my Wizard, like Concussion

http://eq.crgaming.com/spells/default.asp?...ell&SpellId=752

It really was an essential tool... I do not understand why WoW Mages do not have something alike.
(The quest to get it was fun too, as it was an essential spell that you just had to have past a certain level)

And for the crits, I mostly take a little pauze after a crit before I start nuking again. :)

Ranged DPS / Fire build 21/30/0

Let me refine my statement a bit.

I think for the gear that I have, and with me quite some Mages in RG2.
That it would be impossible to keep good DPS up on Ragnaros,
AE the crap out of his sons, and then keep good DPS up afterwards.

Frostbolts when not frost-specced are just to expensive for the damage they do.
But since fire is useless at Rag and AM costs even more mana I see no other option at this time.

I can understand the better geared Mages when they like fire better,
I miss the burst damage that is really nice on trash mobs.

I can only hope that 1.11 will make Elemental builds more viable, and that Mages wil finally get an Aggro management tool.

In my opinion holding back on DPS as a DPS class defies all reason,
and most certainly is not reasonable if you give other DPS classes like Hunters and Rogues tools to reduce aggro.

They already have better survivabillity in boss fights as it is. (allthough most bosses ofcourse make no discrimination in 1-shot killing any other class but a good specced Warrior)
