I wondered who'd be the first to pick that up.    In a driving game there is no advantage to be had. Unless you call the ability to apologise immediately for hitting someone, an advantage. There's no advantage in me saying "Look out Oldie, there's a car behind you!", while I'm sitting in the garage spectating

Exactly our point, we have a bit of an disadvantage because other clans do use it. The sound on that server was really poor as mentioned before and they didn't really do alot to change it.

I think that if we'd put up a poll for just the people who play matches nowadays that the result will be completely different in the poll. To be honoust, it's the old matchplayers that keep saying we never needed it so we don't need it now aswell.

Flame me for it but this just my 2p for this discussion.

Oh dear. Being old doesn't automatically make you wrong and being young certainly doesn't automatically make you right.
Like I said, it doesn't matter what I think, you'll do what you think is right anyway.
Incidently, you KNOW everyone else is using it, you can only assume they are. If that's your justification, then job done!

You know what I mean as in "old".
Not as in age but the people who are now playing different games and who have stopped playing CZ-matches for -=[dMw]=-. And you know I ment that and not the age thing, I know your English is good  .

And no, it's not my justification that everyone is using it. I might point out to the nice gentlemen that I never said "all" clans use it. But most clans do.

Nice discussion Ron and I know I life is to short to keep discussing about stuff like this. Pint at the LAN again?

you are using more than the game provides.

Can that be applied to the binds, alias' and scripts? The game doesn't provide you with the means to jump then duck at the push of 1 button nor does it give you a means to toggle walk or duck.


Just for the record I voted for use it as a back up, i like using in game comms.

I've PCWs with a few 'friends' from different servers/clans, and it gives no advantage except clarity. Which is why we wanted to use it on sunday.

I have created a passworded channel called "dMw CZ Standby Comms Channel" - the password is the same as the password on the match server. - at  least that way you'll get some privacy
