Sorry I couldn't make it guys. I've had an infestation of PC trojans (self inflicted - don't ask) that needed sorting.

Well done all you finishers. :thumb:

My race ended before it even started.

My sound drivers decided to start asking just before the race start "what have you plugged into the pink interface" For christ's sake!...then the coder who had made the drivers had put some busy loop polling constantly. The fecking prog took 100% of CPU cycles. It took me 5 mins just to switch to Windows! I clicked cancel, cancel, but the cpu usage was sky high even after that. No fix other than just to reset the whole computer. :ranting2:

It must have taken me close to 10mins before I got back to the server. Too late as you were already on the 2nd lap. I tryed to join but it was too late as couldn't even race anybody as I was laps down. So I just left.

Nice race, congratulations to Spudgun.

I made a few smallish mistakes early in the race, that cost me about 15 seconds. Still, it was nothing too serious to keep me out of the podium fight. I had set tires to be changed after 60% and thought them to be ready when pitting after 30 minutes, but none of the tires were changed. Perhaps they cooled down more that I thought, because after the stop I made two mistakes within 2 laps and the latter caused me to stop in the sand.

It was a pity to have to leave the race, since the racing was close and it felt so intensive.

BigFatCat

I had tyres to change at 40% and they weren't swapped.

What I did notice that they started to cool before half distance, and the fronts were going cold in the last third of the race. I wondered why my pace dropped off as the race went on, I knew the tyres wouldn't overheat due to some setup tweaks, but I wasn't expecting them to cool so drastically. I should, I guess, have changed them...

I think I had my tires set to change at 50%, It only changed the fronts at the pit stop.  One thing I was suprised by was how little the inner part of tires heated up, the inside of my rear tires stayed a fairly dark blue for the whole race. when exactly do these R3s reach optimum temp on the BF1? :g:
