Just a heads up to the admins. We seen the same behaviour as the launch night were as soon as the server got to around the 50 player mark
it started causing lag. The lag was experienced by everyone on the server.

55+ players upto it was full and the lag was horrible. Then it binned everyone from the server. :(

Obviously we don't know if this is the game or the server playing up. But two nights and exactly the same problems.

sulky_uk

drop to 32 untill the problem is resolved?

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

Maybe set the player maximum to 48 for while to see what happens?

GhostMjr

Most frustrating isn't it?
We had the same issue (and many others) with Black-Ops for several weeks after launch.
I hope Dice/EA sort this fast because it's a server killer.
If our server is unlucky enough to be prone to crashing, it will soon get deleted from peoples favourites,
especially if XP is not being recorded for the game.

If we did that, would be better to go straight to 32?

That way we could enable RUSH.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate you letting me know the time the server crashed and the number of players on at the time.

That enables me to go to KC and raise support tickets.

With respect to numbers, I want to keep it as is for now. With respect to Rotation, How about from Monday we go with Rush for a week?

Guys,

This is from the Killer Creations Admins:

There are a number of issues that have been indentified this week (it  would not be a BF release without them). Here are some of the key ones:

- Servers are producing bad frames. This means that key packets are  getting lost and clients can suffer little stutters / warping. 64 slot  servers are more prone to this issue.
- DICE have identified a source of potential lag in the client. This should be fixed in the next client update.
- A couple of maps are on occasion causing lag. These are Teheran Highway and Caspian Border.
- The Server side build is far from stable and can crash for a variety of reasons, the typical cause is map change.
- Punkbuster's auto-update rarely functions as it should. Affects both client and server.

All of the above are pending a fix from DICE with the exception of PB  which is mostly resolved. As soon as we have more info, we'll let you  know.

Just so you know I've put up a support ticket so they can log it.

Updated Server Patch Now Installed (Thanks TL)

DICE have released Server Update R6 with the following changes:

- Fix for crashes usually occurring during level switches. Possible side effect of the fix might result in memory leakage.

- Game servers should no longer quit in some situations where the online  backend servers are down. Server will reconnect to the backend once  it's up again.

- Fix for ghost servers which didn't accept connections.

- Kick reasons should better match situations where they are issued.  This will help battlelog provide more accurate information to the  player.

- Connection fixes to avoid players sometimes being rejected while joining the game server on one of the last slots.
