Checking on LFSworld, the licensed history shows the times and the extent of the amount of servers going down at any one time.

They will find a fix but at the moment, I think it's funny.

This is a quote from one of the sequrity sites that mention these exploits:

"Bugs C and D instead work versus any server except demo and LAN
servers and are not in-game so any attacker can crash any server,
password protected too."

It's bad if even the password doesn't protect. One temporary solution might be to make the server hidden and publish the IP only here. The chanches Phlos finds it here is pretty much 0.

There is one more thing...I checked what names are listed to be in Phlos' server...I think those might not be able to join other servers, because the game thinks they are already online. It seems at least o000o is there. :sad:

If applying the password doesn't deter the script kiddies then that will be our next move.

Server crasher FIX

Though at the moment it seems that there are problems with insim in this version (insim app can't connect to server).

I just spotted this on LFS forum host subforum

It was dated on Sep 10th. He claims there is still some issue with the server code. The log he pasted there seem to show at least the /kick command doesn't work for the hacker. The hacker claims he could boot or format HD for any client. :eyebrow:

It is not so probable you will see this on licensed side as you see his license name. The post gives the hacker IP, so you can block it atleast.

Just for your info. Keep your eyes open just in case.
