ISP without CLID

Im sure the griefs over anyways all you need is a minute for it to astablish connection its connection to the internet then pull the plug and it should be ok finding lan games or is a constant connection required?

Is it worth our media correspondent TL sending a nice E-mail to Steam people asking the status on the LAN problem and the reason why we need to know before friday?

Also i remember a post a few weeks back saying that there was no problem with LAN and it worked already... was that a lie?

I've posted on their forums and got zilch replies (the explanation for this was that VALVe had dropped all access to the web while they sorted out their 'security' <_< ). BS I say.

To the best of my knowledge there's no way to play on a LAN without access to the web.

You cannot play 1.6 without an internet connection as steam wishes to control your life.
