Hi Boris, nice to see you at dMw!

It easy really to get into this mode of mature and fair team play...

Simply join us on the dMw server (open to any guests on the following IP: 87.240.138.20:16567 - no password, except on the occassional match nights )

Its a friendly little server for smaller number games which you should be right at home with.

I also recommend (I don't think anyone at dMw will mind) Tactical Gamer servers ~ TG are a good bunch who share dMw's mature fair play philosophy and we often nip over there when we want to play big 64 player matches (a bit hectic if you are used to playing smaller matches so I recommend you start with dMw).

dMw play the AAS mode - which you are familiar with - which means, even when there are a small amount of players, the action is good as everyone is concentrated in one area.

You will like the dMw guys - they are very, very friendly and welcoming to new-comers...Be prepared to voice comm a lot and play as part of teams (remember to follow the squad leaders orders!).

Sunday night is a good place for you to start ~ there's usually a good crowd on the dMw server then.

Finally, if you haven't already got it, get X-Fire. We all have it and it will allow you to arrange games and keep in touch with the gang.

I (and Dewey, who you've 'spoken' to on the LUN forum) look forward to seeing you in a game!

sounds cool - explaining to some of the guys at our lan what 'proper gaming' and 'immersion' (not the water boiling type) means drives me mad - on a side note are you guys pure SF now cos Santa has yet to pass me by with his bulging sack!!!  :(

No, we still do regular BF2. We like to play the game using the AAS mod, which Liberator has just finished coding for the SF maps. So SF is up and running just now, but I think the agreement is that it will only be for a few times a week atm.

After december 10th there is a chance that we might get both versions running - I am sure the admins will let us know about that after that date :)

But go get the expansion pack mate :) I think you can get them for as little as £ 14.99.

Maybe we ought to have some sticky topic explaining in simple terms what AAS is, and why we have it on? Maybe an addition to the AAS route sticky?

Dewey

Hi Boris,

Great to see you on the dMw forums mate and hopefully on our server. If you like BF2 but with tactics, teamwork and lots of laughs thrown in you'll feel right at home here. Benny's a bit scarey, but the rest of the lads are harmless. Look forward to seeing you on the server fellow Hull person :)
