I just have to say... what a great squad tonight. And what brilliant kills. Especially, but not only, on Gulf of Oman and the great comeback.  All those RPG / Blackhawk duels.

Hope u didn't mind me bossing you guys around like that   I tried to be a good and polite spawn point and toss out all the information I could, so not too much battle for me... and yet Rizzy (I think) died less than me

I guess it is the trend so... Ah luvya guys!  :D

Delanvital, totally agree, great comeback due to some nice squad leading on your behalf, well done mate  :D  Another classic - shame about the bunnyhopping killa guy but he probably didnt' realise the dMw way.

sulky_uk

was a very good game was exceptionally happy with the blackhawk landing and me shooting it with a/t, 4 kills

well led delanvital i thought we were going to lose it when we lost the hotel but you lead us back nice one

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

Armitage

I would say all of last nights games were uneven. Apart from Oman, I don't think Oldies team took more than two flags in combat.

May be we should do a bit of team rotation after a couple of easy maps. To keep it fun for all.

RizZy

Quite enjoyed it last night, might play a bit more regularly again, lost intereset in bf2 for a while - but as it turns out its an alright game, so you might have to put up with me a bit more, apart from the next 2 weeks cause I'm on lates   <_<

& I agree with Arm, some sort of randomization of the teams between maps would be good.

Ranger

...This is where my energy finally gave in (9.40pm)! - I'd been playing and drinking since 1pm so I didn't do too bad I suppose...

I looked at the Gulf of Omen maps and thought 'this could be a long one'! So I went for a cuppa and then to bed!

:)

Had some great games last night ~ sorry I was so stewed guys, I made a bit of a dog's dinner of the match I SL'd in (Dragon Valley)...Vista was a good fight!

Was it just because I was plastered or were a lot of the flag routes different to normal?

I got totally lost at one point!

Who was that fella who kept raming people - he got me three times. I now know why people are really annoyed when I ram folk...Though I can honestly say when I do it it is because I am crap at flying. This guy did it deliberately - and what's worse he didn't mind if he had passengers when he did it either!

 :ranting:

Aside from this it was a good night ~ I particularly enjoyed an early evening dual between Delanvital and myself versus Oldie and Norm. Del did some excellent squad leading ~ and Oldie and Norm were great opponents.

Again, sorry I was sozzled but I had a fantasticlly relaxed Sunday. Thanks to everyone who put up with me as a teammate ~ I couldn't have been that much use.

:)

Actually I think teams naturally rotate - people just change teams every so often. I noticed I was playing with different people each map...

Before we could have proper rotation we would have to have set teams ~ I think we should just leave it to everyone's own volition to change teams when they want.

I do...

I also am always willing to change teams if there is a question of imballanced team too (even if I am on a winning side!) :)

I don't care who I play with - or whether they are winning or not so long as everyone is happy, doesn't think they are unfairly losing a game...

I REALLY hate winning a game that is imballanced (particularly if I have enjoyed it) because I don't like people coming back after the game and saying 'well, of course you won - you had more guys than us' or something.

What I usually do if this happens is type a txt message for everyone saying 'ballance teams'. And I know others do the same.

The rule should be - if you think it's an unballanced match - speak up and people are quick to re-ballance.

AND - maybe we should have a set 'ALL CHANGE' rule after each map (the only danger with this is - if we ALL change you may end up back with exactly the same guys you started with!!! LOL

I think the guy who was ramming people was the same as the one bunny hopping all over the place, when asked to stop bunny hopping he asked what we call bunny hopping, I wasn't aware that bunnys hopped in differant ways depending on where abouts your from.

LOL...

I really cannot believe that someone who plays online FPS doesn't know what bunny hoping is.

Especially on BF2 where it is such a discussed issue.

But I found his ramming more annoying than the bunny hoping ~ these days if I get people who bunny hop a lot I simply switch to assault and frag the f***ers!

;)

Raming - there isn't a lot you can do about it.

Yeah, but even though the numbers were uneven, the smaller side was winning. Which just goes to prove your point, maybe we should have a list of more experienced players who should try and make sure they are evenly balance across both teams.

On Dragon Valley there was myself, Ranger, Delan, Armittage, Rizzy and a few more of the regulars keeping you US guys back from the Vista.

Oldie, you must have been getting a bit desperate last night when I was tailing you all over the maps and riddling you with bullet holes in the jets, I have a tip about that that I'll put on Bravo channel if its not already there.

Did Albert show up at all?

Must admit I did leave and went and joined TG,as in cs/cz its no fun getting totally slaughtered, round after round. :( .

Ranger

Right lads - we are just going to have to have an 'ALL CHANGE' rule after every map...

I would suggest we have 50% of each team change to the other (just so we don't all end up back with the same guys!).

Squad leader nominates the 'changers' at the begining of the new game before the restart.

How's that sound?

I think that might be going to far. Just a bit of common sense is needed. why change for the sake of it. If you just had a really good evenly matched round. No point.

All it takes is a bit of thought by the senior more experienced players to keep the side balanced and fun for everyone. (The way CS is done, except try and keep teams constant until map changes )

That was my initial take on it Armitage - but I think that to avoid ANY nagging doubt in some people's mind that they have been hard done by a simple 'ALL CHANGE!' after each game will stop people thinking they are stuck in a losing team.

I mean its a simple thing to have the SL pick half his team to change over.

And the reason I say have the SL do it is to avoid (natural) reluctance in players to leave their mates.

I agree with you that some sort of list should be formulated to ensure that the more experienced playes don't all end up in the same team though - these guys would maybe 'banned' from changing sides.

But this is just a suggestion ~ your way sounds just as practical, though someone whould have to deside WHO the more experienced players are!

As far as number of players we were evenly divided. We might have had some of the strong players though. Can we do the player rotation randomly as maps start, using Python? Maybe based on kills during the map or something, so that we can even out?
