dMw are chuffed to announce that if you have SF you can now play it on a dMw server with AAS enabled:

87.240.138.22:16568

However, we don't want this to be at the expense of the BF2 server so expect a mass move from SF to BF2 at some point during the evening :)

Both servers will run simultaneously :D

What, you mean they didn't know about it?

I thought it had been a bit lonely on there.

Agreed, the maps are great, built for the use of hooks and zips, but because some classes don't have them, they put in ladders and stairs.

The maps on the server were picked because of their AASness, you'll notice the night maps aren't there. I think we all need to play with the new weapons and such, and be commited B4 we use the night maps.

I'm glad that "Surge" was a bit more competative this time, knowing where to go and having a plan makes all the difference. Thats why I made sure I was on the advancing team to start with (B4 I got dropped). Still not sure whats causing it because I could see the vanilla server (as Admin), but my SF (Admin & player) link was dead.

And I'm afraid of the dark.

We used to do similar during the CS1.6 versus CS:CZ era when we ran both servers. Usually one of the admins would see lots of people on the CZ server and ask for a move to MH and it would happen over a 10 to 15 minute period. Similarly, when we had a Private CZ and a Public CZ, we would start on public CZ and as numbers built up we would move to Private.

However, I guess at present that as we haven't played SF much then people want to get their money's worth.

Important Point:

ANYONE in the community could suggest a move to BF2 to remind the others, if its a good night people might forget and there could be a few guys on the BF2 server waiting for the "big move" so if you think we should be moving feel free to speak up :)

Plus don't forget that some people even remember to run xfire when gaming, so if you don't have SF you can still message them on that and ask them if people could shift, so you and others could get a bit of BF2 in.

I wouldn't suggest you try it with me tho, i've yet to recieve a chat request on xfire when I was actually in the same room as my PC, so I don't know what it sounds like to notice and scrl-x to (will scrl-x even work for that, or does it just bring up the friends window?).

through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

That's one of the best parts of SF. If all classes had a hook then it wouldn't add any tactics to the game. If you haven't done so already you'll soon pick up that in a squad you only need one guy with a hook (or two for safety) as everyone can use the same one. Same for Zip..

I would say get the guy with the Hook to toss it up and then have the rest of the squad go over / up first. Then follow along afterwards.

Would be best to run SF with Vanilla maps that would give you the different classes on your familar maps.  :dribble:

For my money it's just the novelty of having a BF2:SF server up permanently. Give it a week or so and people will be back on vanilla 50% of the time. Karkand lures you!
