Here a tough one for you guys.

FM Scout is a utilty that reads your game database and allows you search hidden player and staff details.

You need to ask yourselves is this a cheat? I dont care, if the scouts were better you would know most of this stuff anyway. If you play Premiership teams you probably dont really need this. The dilemna is yours the link is mine http://www.fmunderground.net/fmu/index.php?fmu=7_8_209

Fmscout = HAXS!!  Should come in handy  :P I play fm06 online and i can never get a prem team anywhere, even if its chelsea!!  Give me the lower teams anyday. So used to buying players in the lower league even in the prem i rebuy the players i would buy at bury. Doh!  :frusty:

Ok gents, so I'm running into my second close season, 12 points clear of the conference league which I'm supposed to be fighting against relegation in, having been promoted last year....

Have some screens..

General status,

Players

If you need a striker my Danish wonder bloke is great, averaging over a goal a game and always getting good stats. Best buy yet.
Followed by Matty Warner, outstanding, top assists in the league and skins people down the left, plays happily as ML or ML, even as MC if needed.
Jamie Hand and Adilson are turning out well, both DM's but will play well in a 442 in the MC positions which I switch to during matches to keep the oppo guessing.

And my generic tactic. With a good DM it's almost watertight.

Start most matches with defensive outlook, (remebering as Dewey said to keep the line below the defensive setting...just above deep).
Then switch to attacking after the break.

Great to hear about your team Benny. I couldn't believe it when I saw your wage budget 12k!! Mine is *ahem* 1.25 million. Respect is due to your managing prowess and careful budgeting!

Your striker looks awsome 46 goals is some going. Hows the new season going?

My life as Manager of Man U - a short tale of passion, greed and tightness!

I finished last season beating Chelsea in the Champions League final, won the FA cup and the league to do the triple. I won the league on joint 89pts with Arsenal I think, just pipping them on GD. What a thriller!

Pretty unbelievable actually, for the last 3 seasons my board had given me a transfer budget of 2.5 million a season - and I've just done the bl**dy triple and won the CL! You'd have thought with all that prize/tv money they would have let me build on last seasons successful squad but no. My keeper was 36 (the same one as IRL - cant remember his name) so I had to look for a replacement. To raise funds to buy him I then sold my two star strikers RuudVN and Cesar delgardo - Ruud was 31 and someone offered me 7m so he went. I sold Cesar for £13 million (only 26 wanted to keep him but needs must). Then I bought a decent keeper Akineev(sp) from CSKMoscow for 20 million with the proceeds - you wouldn't have thought I'd have to sell players to raise funds at Man U would you?

I renegotiated my contract with them but they won't give me any more than 40k a week.

Anyway my squads looking smaller, as many of the old guard are no longer any good, so Giggs, Scholes, Neville have all gone.

I'll post screenies of my Man-U side/tactics/etc tomorrow.

Also a number of my staff ie coaches/asst manager/physios and scouts where demanding ridiculous wage increases after our successful season, I don't like money grabbers so I fired the lot of them! Time will tell if that was a good idea but I've bought in cheaper replacements that I hope will be just as good.

I managed to get Kim Kallstrom (excellent left winger) on a free but apart from that no other transfer activity to report at Old Trafford. I'm concerned as Liverpool, Arsenal and particularly Chelsea have been extremely busy in the transfer market. Chelsea in particular have bought in a large number of quality players many of which I had been scouting but with no funds couldn't buy.

So I'm 3 games into my new season. I won 2 at home and lost 2-1 to Leicester (I think) - oh dear. Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle and Chelsea are winning all their matches. Its going to be a tough season. After I won the CL league/prem and FA cup last year my boards comments where - We expected you to win! - oh thanks for that!

More exciting footie news as it comes in!  :D

Finally!!

just finished my first season with Chetsefield.. we were favourites to go down .. we ended up 9th .. comfotably..  we could have come about 6th but i lost both main keepers having to bring Under 18's GK in.. <_<  some help he was..

lost 6 - 1 to oldham who were 23rd at the time...  silly GK - issued a weeks wage! :)

then lost 3-1 to 2nd place, we needed those points aswell - 3 injured strikers..
PURCHASED:::
1 new striker..
2 defenders
1 goalkeeper

any tips on second season, eg, chnage formation completly ..  change training schedule?

Nice one Doris. Few things you should be looking at, probably obvious:

- improve your staff, sack the rubbish ones if not too expensive to do so, bring in specialists for each training area (ideally each coach coaches on one area)

- transfer list your rubbish players or players who are 31 or over (unless they are amazing)

- look for free transfers, bring in guys on loan from the top clubs

- improve your tactics, set each players instructions to suit their position and attributes

- play at least 3 friendlies against rubbish opposition ie faroe islands, to boost your teams morale, improve fitness and tactics

- choose a tactic around your players, don't make a square peg fit a round hole

- if your going for promotion, make sure you've got adequate cover, bring in a few utility players who can play in a variety of places so your covered

Post your summer signings, tactics etc.

Good luck.  :)

I'm continuing with the first (and only) game I started. Now with Dundee in the Scots Prem, finished 4th in successive seasons behind Celtic, Rangers and Dundee Utd. Won the Scots League Cup last season and hope to progress further than last year's UEFA campaign which suffered due to crippling injuries.
Was starting to struggle for cash, even when returning £5-6M of transfer profit per season, until a new board arrived and ploughed over £20M into the club.
I've been linked with some Serie A jobs and I'm wondering where my next step will be after 4-5 years with the Dees.
My tactics centre around a 5-3-2 with the pivotal CB pushing up into DM, MC pushing into AMC and 2 wider MC pushing into the corner channels. Singing a couple of quality fullbacks and centrebacks has helped though I stil prefer a more goal laden game. Ask Celtic about how they threw away a 3 goal lead in the last 5 minutes where I gained a 4-4 draw with 10 men.

I'm in a bit of a dilemma.

Just reading through my club's news and I've been offered the England job.

I've saved it so I can come back to it, that's best I think.

ive signed Daniel Huss.. dutch and hes amazing..  runs and shoots and its a goal.. but only thing stopping him from doing that is we dont have any good providers..
As soonas my first season was over the top scorer (Folan) wanted to go to a bigger club.. so i let him go for £545,000.. yea so i did add 300,000 on.  they still purchased him lol.
i bought in some Defenders that are good..and a new defender 19 .. and better than my older bunch, ermm i casnt settle on a tactic at the moment..

ive got too many ACM's not enough MC ..  Money is looking good with balance at 1.17M  :)

lets see how i get on

Sounds good Doris.

Thats amazing you've been offered the England job, are your club in championship? I would always accept the England job, it will add to your reputation and make more players want to come and play for you. Also allows you to put in some of your own players into the England squad and watch their value rise

Not the Championship, not even any English league. I've been in the Scots Prem for 5-6 years.
