Raid announcement

I think our current officers should stay in RG1, all it needs is someone with experience to lead RG2, or maybe a volunteer to step down into RG2, from RG1.

it seems that people who will be leading RG2 are going to be doing it all of the time, so i guess these will have to be officers who are willing to only raid twice a week in charge of RG2 only doing ony and MC, therefore sacrificing their position in BWL.

If RG2 dont do MC in one run, it means they will have to finish it on another day. Lets say they do it tuesday, then have to finish thursday (keeping same raid days as RG1). What would happen if on thursday they cant get enough people to finish off MC, and they cant get anybody who did MC on tuesday because they are all saved to instance, would this mean alts would have to be caled up, or would the raid be called until its reset?

(days prob wont clash, just thinkin if they do for some reason)

Who said anything about sacrificing their BWL position? Atm the RG1 and RG2 idea will only be implemented for MC and OL from what was said in the first post

Correct.  The intention is to start MC/OL on the same days for both groups, however they might finish on different days, thus not impacting upon BWL at all.  We intend to canvas member opinion on this before settling on the most appropriate 'second' raid day.  Those going to the RG1 OL/MC clearance rule themselves out of participation in RG2's events for that week.

Re the raid leaders: those people will need access to the Guild DKP site and other Officer content, so the only sensible solution is to have Officers lead the RG2 raid.  We will announce more detail on this later.

We believe that offering to help members raid via RG2 where there is already clear evidence that this is wanted will bring the Guild closer together and not split it, as not doing this might cause a wedge to be driven between those who can raid and those who cannot.

And we want an officer lead RG2 as we don't want to make it abour "us and them". We will probably have some kind of rotation on which officers lead RG2. I think it is important that you understand that we in no way want to split the guild, and we will probably have some exchange of members between the groups. As for alts, we haven't made any desicions on that matter yet.

Another point with regards to DKP, say I went to MC with RG1 one week and got 90 dkp saved. Then for some reason I went with RG2 to MC, and something I wanted dropped, I couldnt use this 90 dkp to purchase that item. So for each RG there is a seperate DKP System. That would probs be better.

That would probably ruin the dkp balance Sinap. Let's say for arguments sake that someone with large amounts of DKP in RG1's system whent raiding with RG2 and got some tier 2 of onyxia, some weapons from MC and finished off their tier 1 set without really wanting it. Then go back to RG1 having one million negative DKP on RG2 but still have 1000 DKP on RG1. Hello BWL gib tier 2 plxx, you other suckers were dumb enough to use your RG1 DKP on tier 1.

We will have one DKP system for both groups to keep the system in balance. You shouldn't get items for free just bcause you whent with RG2. Sure you may say that the ones regularily going to BWL will have more DKP then the ones in RG2, but if that person isn't a totally gready asshole, he won't take stuff that RG2 would want/need.

Thats a good point Varg, all it requires is that people see when something will benefit others more than themselves, and pass. Either way, RG2 shouldnt be packed with RG1 raiders, so the problem shouldnt arise in huge amounts.

I really hope ppl will live up to this Vargen! Because its necessary to do so if we are going to get better geared ppl so we can pwn more in BwL and AQ!

The masterlooter could also assess the need before handing out the items and not use DKP blindly. Problem is that this will probably lead to many heated discussions during the raid as need is a very subjective term.

RG2 is the "only way" , as i said before i will help the RG2, and arrange stuff and alot more that i cant be TANGO'd to write now, but the thing i cant do is to commit myselv to raid, i can raid Friday, and saturday and when im not raiding with RG , but not on mondays and Wednesdays.
