I started a game on Baldric tonight and we had about 10 peeps playing, Barr being one of them and on my side.

He managed to knife wound peeps about 4/5 times as we were running from spawn, he also managed to TW pretty well with his guns. I warned generically about FFON. I then warned a couple of times specifically about him. I then put out a server message that persistent TW/TK offenders would be kicked.

He was then rude to me, so I kicked him.
The sound of clapping and applause could be heard resounding around the de_cbble amphitheatre......

Did he apply, as that does'nt sound like someone would go to the effort of applying and then be a twat. Im thinking a password change is in order

I forgot to mention, as this was just priot to a Baldric match, Oldie was watching the logs tick by and was keeping us advised as to the squads, when to clear the server etc. Whilst he didn't hear the verbals, he did confirm seeing the logs showing the text-based part of Barr's actions.

Barr appeared on the server again tonight and was as pleasant as ever. He and a friend started an f'ing and blinding competiton which his firend won by change his name to 'barr TANGOed my pc'. It was of course at this point, after many verbal warnings and on screen requests to tone the language down, that I discovered my rcon kick command was not working :roll:

He was on baldric as well, and was a bit abusive there. As my rcon didn't appear to work I couldn't do much. Perhaps a time for a written warning ala Trip.

That would be a fine idea with only one minor flaw :? We do not have access to the MHPCS mailing list and as Barr has not bothered registering in the forums (which is typical of that kind of player) then we have no way of sending him said written warning

rcon would have worked on baldric if whoever edited the config file had used 3 "s"'s in "sv_password"...

Now isn't that strange?

When I first started looking into why rcon wasn't working one of the things I found was that the configs were trying to set the rcon password using:

sv_pasword and not sv_password

I don't suppose the changes I made have been overwritten with an earlier file?

Oh and as you appear to be taking an interest ... I renamed autoexec-27016.cfg to autoexec2.cfg as the logs appeared to show that the previous filename was being rejected.

Apparently he was on again last night and being very abusive with his mate, not following PCS and when asked to by MADness and Darkangel got told to #############@@@@@@@''''''@@@@ ive asked madness to note down the wonid if he comes on again.

Question: how did he get back on if we changed the password?? is one of our members giving out passwords or did he get e-mailed the new one??
