Sprays ... setting question

I can't see any sprays at all. Is there a setting that adjust this? I saw sprays before.

I mean that I don't see any sprays at all not even the default ones. That command just tells HL not to DL anything from the server that isn't standard i.e. custom sprays, sounds etc. Am I right?

Other peoples sprays ARE downloaded. I know this because, being an old git, I have set my cl_allowdownload to 0 so I don't see any of them! I don't care to see the place graffitied. One side effect is that when someone does spray I do see the 'Hostage rescue zone' instead of their spray.

Make sure you're using OpenGL.

I have run in direct3D and it has worked for the last 2 years until 2 weeks ago when all sprays disappeared.

The spay gnomes have stolen them. Give your PC a good shake and they should fall out the vent at the back. Then prod them with little sticks and demand your sprays back.

It might have had something to do with Tea Leaf and his sneaky Tea Leafs spray hidden in the new map pack plot?

Sadako mine disappeared recently too - it was immediately after that match where the server ran that config checker and fubar'd our HL settings for some reason

I also would like a fix, I'll try the DL thang, but I don't think that is it - I don't see the hossie rescue zones or bomb sites or any sprays at the moment....

Nope, the allowdownload 1 is not it - my config already sets that. Any other guesses peeps?

Controlling the Downloading of Custom Decals/Sounds/Maps

Turns on/off downloads of sounds/decals during the game(not a good thing)(The download bar for these items is at the bottom of the screen)

HPK files

HPK is the file(custom.hpk, in your half-life directory) that stores downloaded decals. This file can get huge and the bigger it gets the longer it takes to load CS. Delete this file and then set hpk_maxsize to a low value, or 0 to disable it.

hpkextract [all|index number]
Extract files from hpk file

hpklist
List files in hpk file

hpkremove
Remove file from hpkfile

hpkval
Display checksum value for hpk file

hpk_maxsize X
Sets the max size, X, in bytes, of the hpk file.
