hmmm guess it is just me then. I was able to join in the raid set up from the start :P

And that I have no problem in saying.
Deadlyspirit 60 G Mage / Naturpower 60 NE Druid
XpiRai 60 NE Warrior / Deadlyblow 60 H Rogue
 Holylight 60 H Priest / Holy 60 H Paladin
Shadowforce 60 H Warlock / Deadlything 48 D Hunter

its possible that there was a raid admin online when you signed up and we approved you for the raid straight away :)

we did talk about using the queue of people who didnt get into the raid as a kind of "priority list" for the next raid, but i dont think we came to any conclusions on that subject.

opticalrush

i dont agree with this planning system people mayby do not show up and most of the time we got enough people

the system wasnt introduced to attract more people, it was supposed to be a way of fairly organising who attends, and letting people know in advance, so people will no longer turn up at the gates at 19:15, expect an invite, and find the raid is full already, then spam my mailbox with crap, and whine at me in whispers for half an hour :P

The officers fixed that problem with 40 man raids by introducing guardian and defender ranks... obviusly we cant do that, so this is the best we can do really. Judging by the number of people who have signed up (28 including 8 in the queue) we may soon have the possibility of running 2 concurrent raids, maybe with some danu people.

if you have a better way to do this, let us know, im willing to try anything at least once :P

Well, that's kind of the point with a signup system Opti - people make a "promise" that they will be there.  You don't sign up, and than don't show when the raid is...

This is a good way of doing this. It means you know if you get in or not, and avoids frustration due to not being able to raid when you hoped to.
As for people just signing up and not showing up, I guess you will notice soon enough that this has consequences. Maybe even a ban from 20 man raids.
Let's give this system a chance and not try to abuse or exploit it. I think all the people involved in making this work are doing a kick ass job to keep it together.

Before rg2 joined everyone could join if they wanted to now we have a raidgroup2 its more difficult.
Because of the masive people whispering so my opinion is that rg2 needs to recruit some people to get up for this (rg2 people)

We did our best on rg1 aswell it took verry long to convinse people to join 20man instances

We would like to remind ppl that if you signup we expect you to show up.
If you have signed up and you know later you can not come you can cancel your signup on the site. If ppl signup a lot but dont come( inother words abouse the system), consequences will follow. Ofc we do not count the RL emergencies (you know what we mean).

Not always true opti... before RG2 we cancelled a LOT of raids due to lack of people so that we have too many people is only a luxury problem

The 20 man instances is not officer controlled and therefore its not RG1/RG2, but SOG alltogether and therefore we need to work together as a guild to get this up and running

Horray to the guys that are trying to put this together, they deserve our support.... not our whining

spiritus

i work mondays and fridays.. so i'll whisper for a quespot as i allways has done when i get home... coz i never know when i'm done at work... depends from 19.00->02.30 servertime..

if you dont think you can make it on time, the best thing you can do is sign up for a queue spot. that way, you'll be first (maybe) in the queue for when you become available.

just to re-iterate what luna said, if you thnk you MIGHT be able to make it but arent sure, just sign up anyway, if it turns out you cant make it, you can cancel your signup without any problems... as long as its a reasonable time before the raid starts.. cancelling your signup 2 mins before the raid wont go down well :)

spiritus

so how can i cancel a signup when at work from 1530-> say 23.30? and no internet.. aiaiai ;p or is that just for not que ppl?

basically, if your not in the 20 people who are approved for the raid, you have no obligation to turn up at all :) so if you cant make it but are just signed up for the queue, dont worry :)

spiritus

WTB auto signup for que ;p

Hmm optical, just that I was not very happy to hear from you. I am a part of RG2 and have alot of fun in the 20 man instances. Maybe it is just me that takes what you say there to be like RG1 before RG2 for 20 man instances. And I know there are going alot of work on trying to get some more ppl for RG2 atm.

And as there is allready said, that this can only be a good thing that there are to many ppl for them. as then there will allways come a raid up that day.

And why I see this system very good is as a mage it is hard sometimes to get a spot, as we are alot of very active mages in this guild. ( sry for only looking on it from the mage side ).
