Deadly i see your point but i see opticals point also.
I have been there from the start of the raids and we allways had trouble for a grp.(we joined with COC and we mastered a lot in ZG). NOw we have RG 2 also which means a lot more ppl which is good. however if we can have 2, 40 man raids. How do you get that in one 20 man raid (if you know a solution plz tell me :narnar: ).
So now we have too may ppl and you have the problem you are in the class where most ppl wanted to join (the mages). I know this is hard for you however with this system we can see how much ppl want to come, and if we have enough maybe even start 2 groups. Atm we have prolly 30 ppl who want to join so some will be left out yes. We cant help it sadly. I think that is what optical means. However for the ppl who are allways there to help i also can understand they rly want a spot cause they helped master it. 2 Opinions 2 ways of looking at it. No one of the 2 opinions is better or worse then the other. Personally i think this system enables us to greatly improve the system to be fair also cause we can move ppl from the queue to the next raid and give them priority if they want to come then. Just my opinion here.

Odesa

Rg1 + rg2 = 2x40 players...or at least it should be.

2x40 players = 80 players.

80 players = 4x20man raid.

How come only about 30 ppl signed up for 20man raid, when we should be able to make at least 2 raids?

I think the new signup-for-20-man-raid-system is a very good idea, expecially for us who need to plan ahead to be able to attend.
But why haven't more people signed up? Could it be, that not enough SOGmembers are using SOGforum regularly and therefore miss out on the signups?
If more people were active forum-users, then I'm sure it would be possible to make at least 2x20man raids = More happy people (Hooray!)

And I definitely don't agree on the idea of not letting rg2members participate in 20man instances. IMHO it's a very discriminating comment and it makes me feel like second-rate member of SOG.

Beowyn - 60 NE warrior
Yzma - 60 gnome mage

Let me just get one thing clear

20 man instances are for ALL SOG. We dont separate between RG1/RG2 in these raids. RG2 is just as valuable members as RG1, they just cant/wont raids as much as the RG1 which is why we felt we needed to separate the Raid Groups

I can only agree with padding and we never said RG2 members can't join.  At the moment it was first whisper, first spot. I think optical meant since we have a RG 2 also we have a lot more members who are interested in joining these raids. And Odesa yes we rly should have enough for 2 however when we only had 1 RG we barely had 20 if we were lucky.(we needed to cancel quite a few raids at the start) This can have a few reasons:
1) Ppl are tired of raiding every day.
2) They can't cause of RL.
3) THey dont think its worth their time.
4) Maybe they only want "fast"loot.

i do not accuse ppl these are the reasons i feel are the main reasons for ppl not joining. And with the new signup system we can see how many want to come to raids and act properly according to it. When ppl get used to it we might have 2 raid grps soon.

I'd just like to add, we currently have 48 people who have registered for the signup system, I'd say thats a good sign that there are at least enough people who are interested in 20 man raids that we might soon be able to field 2 teams.

To underline what Padding and others above have said:

When it comes to 20 person raids there is no RG1 or RG2, just SoG members who are all treated equally.

I'd just like to say, i almost never attend 20 man instances , because they are when i have very little time playing, Mondays & Wednesdays i cant play at all.  Take the upcoming saturday, im going to f'kin help my older brother, not that i mind but it takes some "fun" out of the weekend, but i cant slack at all times .

That is just an example why i cant raid on thoose specific raid days.

We (menedil, kregoron and lunares) decided on the consequenses of signin up and not showing up.
If it happens the first time we will issue a warning. The 2nd time will result in a ban from the 20 man raids for a week. If it happens again another ban will be issued if it happens more often well you do not want to know what it gonna happen  .

Can I just ask that the dates on the signup site be formatted for UK style, it's currently in american month/day/year and it confused the TANGO out of me, plus each time I have to do a mental conversion from tard to english.

Secondly, can you hurry up and fill the raid (03-05-06)  so I know if i should speed home from work early or not? :P

Lastly, the resistances you ask for on the site are 'unpimped & unbuffed' or something when making the char, so I put what I have as standard, NOT when I have specific gear on, but some people have posted like 230 or something (I'm assuming with DI gear etc) which should these be, the max unbuffed or max unbuffed unspecific geared'ed'ed? If it's just the former I have to go back and actually pay attention :(

My resistance to a 36/23/32 is very low, especially on a Friday or Saturday night after loads of alcohol, so I put as such in my profile.  :P

You will note that my ungimped FR is of course the without pallie buff figure.

Menedil

dont worry about filling in the resistances, and i'm going to re-code the dates/times when i finish my uni work whihc is currently draining all my programming brilliance :(

as to whether or not you should get home from work early... you were the 4th warrior to sign up, assuming we dont get any warlocks we'll take 3 from 6 out of 7 remaining classes... meaning you wouldnt be in the starting lineup unless one of the warriors doesnt show. The last spots will be filled at 18:00 game time tonight (thats 17:00 UK time for you umbra :P)

and if no locks sign up we'll just not be able to do moam :(

TeaLeaf

I'd like to moam at the locks for not signing up. :(
