Ossirian

Lately we(menedil, kregoron and lunares) have the feeling that ppl only go to AQ20 for the easy loot. It's allways at ossirian or ayamiss when ppl need to go suddenly. We get ayamiss atm 50% of the time down and ossirian 0% of the time.
However we also dont get any good tries in on ossirian. Ppl seem to only bother to join when there is easy loot to be made and screw hard fight when we can kill moam or buru.
We are fed up with this and we request from good geared members to signup here for AQ20 to have some good tries at ossirian. (only thing that getsppl to join is killing him once) and atm we need the good geared ppl (RG1) for it.
If you are interested plz reply here and we can get a grp together. We need to see first who will join then we can discuss a time.

I understand it and you have some decent gear but the problems i see are. Ppl need to see him go down then they dont mind wiping anymore cause they know they can kill him. And then we can do the normal runs again with the whole of SOG. I rather would not have resorted to this but looking how the last 6 runs went we do not have any other choice left. And if you can prove me otherwise plz do but personally i am tired of ppl needing to go at ossirian and ayamiss. And the last few runs rly fed me up.

I have only been one time to AQ (and that was a very short run also, I seem to remember), cause I do have very little time to raid these days. But if you are short of druids, and I can get a date and a time, I will do my very best to do some arrangements so that I can be online and help you out

Its a hard fight, no doubt, but on the last try I had we got the hang of it.

Maybe we should have a member of each class to study this battle closely so he/she can guide the rest of his class through this battle. This way if some one do not know their role in this battle they know who to /w. It is hard for RL to instruct every single class.

Another thing, how is the guild's view on paying for members' repair bills when trying Ossirian? I think this is the thing people are most afraid of. Correct?

I pay my own repair bill on the basis that if we suceed in the boss kill it's not the Guild that gets the epic loot and the gold, it's us. Quid pro quo.

There will always be the problem of some people temporarily resembling 'loot-whores' (those who stay away from learning the boss fight and the wipes, only to appear as a regular when the boss is regularly taken down), but you get to know who those people are and I hope that they discover the joys of BF2.

That everyone of 1 class should study the battle might work, but its a fairly straightforward fight if we get the initial pull right, which we still do not do. (we are trying some new things on the first pull though.

About paying the party's repair bill. First of all the 20 man raids are unofficial. Its a good point you mention though, and we will consider it (depending on the funds on aqbank). If we should decide on doing that we however only will refund the repairs at ossirian and not the other bosses. But atm do not count on it and besides imo nothing beats the feeling of getting a boss down after a long hard fight (and then ofc the physical rewards called loot).
