Personally i would like to w8 till next week then make a list who is interested and i would like to inivte them to a TS conversation to get a impression if they are up to it. Then the best few joining a raid as a co leader and let them see how they do it. Then we can make a good decision i think.

Luthor also talked to me about the Commander role, but he was specificlaly only interested in running the MC show (as a one-man act form his description).  I explained the breadth of roles we hoped a Commander could fulfill and we were hoping they would fulfil.  He stated he was not interested in leading any 20s, just MC.  I confirmed that this would not rule him out of consideration if he applied, but that if we had a choice beteen say 4 commanders who could share the whole workload, and 3 sharing commanders plus him on 'MC only' duty then you might be able to hazard a guess as to the likely preference.  He said he would consider things further and that we might see an application from him, but none received from him yet.

I'll post an applications closing thing on the forum in the hope of kicking him into action.  It would be nice to get this done over the weekend so that we can get both the 20s and the MC going again.

FYI during this consideration, Wednesday will be the day used by the MC run as RG2 will not be moving raid days, so this leaves you with Fri & Sat for full Guild 20s and Monday & Tuesday for half Guild 20s (ie half the Guild is already raiding RG1/2).

ok ty tl but on the one man show MC, i dont think that would be a good idea (maybe i understood it wrong there) the Fm use 3-4 ppl for it and i think a commander need 2-3 due to loot etc).
Like i said maybe i got it wrong if so plz enlighten me:).

From my chat with him he clearly thought he could run it solo.  Towards the end of my chat with him he started to get the message that he might need some help to do it, I do not think he was against the idea of help, he just had not realised the amount of things that would need to be done.  What he is totally clear on is that he does not want to help in anything other than MC.  This in my opinion makes an otherwise good application a poor one as Commanders need to be flexible and to help each other in a variety of roles - Luthor seems only to want the 'prestige' position of running an MC raid, which is a shame imo as I think he could be a good help.

Yeah i agree on that i rather have 3-4 commanders for all instances then 1 and not like you said it 1 for a "prestige" spot. but for all who can read this (specially commanders and ex-commanders who of the list would you like to see a commander?.
plz give us your view on things.

Yrthal - Never heard him on TS, but he has at least tried to start an AQ20 run tonight.  Possible.

Maybe shadowscream - never heard him on TS.

Zabard - never heard him on TS

Clawhammer - spoken on TS, seems to know what he is doing, he therefore gets my vote. Yes.

Greatdanes - Yes as backup due to Marshall responsibilities. Yes.

Siffredi but not all the time - Yes as backup due to Marshall responsibilities. Yes.

Umbra when possible - No, for no particularly good reason.  Much as I like the guy and love him being in RG1, I get the impression that this would be a short term interest and he would not last.  This is a completely unfounded feeling on my part, but it is the way I feel none the less. No.

Oneangel from time to time - Yes as backup due to Marshall responsibilities. Yes.

Oops i forgot to post my list sorry for that.

yrthal I think he does his best but i think we need to monitor him a bit cause i havent seen him that much but then again at the end i havent been too much around

shadowscream This would be a maybe havent seen him that much and nver heard him.

zabard Heard him a few times and seems willing for now a yes.

clawhammer yes nuff said on claw

siffredi He is a marshall and personally i do not think its a good idea to be a marshall and a commander at the same time it can break you up fast (guess thats also a part what happened to me, you see then only as work). He knows whats he is doing but if i should choose it would be gd.

greatdanes Same as siffredi though he would be a great asset

Umbra tbh not sure he can do it with no doubt but i think he lacks certain qualities that are needed to be a commander. (i would have a hard time to take him serious fex) so a no.

Oneangel Yes but same reasons as gd and siff. he did it a few times and knows his way around.

Deadalus i think your vote here is very very important these are your future co-workers and i would love to see your opinion on it. if you do not want to say on the forums feel free to contact me and we can arrange something on TS. Also i though you wanted a talk about aq20 which we need to do also soonish.

A late entrant who seems to have accepted the principle of helping across *all* instances, very pleased to see this.

Quote from: LuthorHi TL.

I would like to apply for the rank Commander, and be in charge, together with the commander group, to lead 20 man instances and MC/Onyxia to success.

I consider myself a good choice because i have experience with all the encounters we will face.

ZG
AQ20
MC
OL

I have on several occasions been raid leading for a shorter or longer while, in the absence of a Commander. And offcourse the "famous" MC pick-up run last tuesday.

If the seat is given to me, i have some ideas i would like to discuss with the other commander, in order to "improve" the current raiding.

Thank you for your time.

Vargen

I think Luthor and Claw will be able to pull this off nicely. I don't know much about the rest of the applicants though. Might it also be worth it to put outdoor raid content under the commanders?

lunares

Hmm i think you need 1 commander more if you want to let them have MC and OL also (40 mans need more attention then 20 man leading wise). Also i do not think its a good thing to put the green dragons and azuregos under the commanders due to the randomness of the spawns.

Outdoors bosses are always run by whomeveris online, I agree with Luna here.

OL, yes as it is so very easy.

More than just Luthor & Claw (& Daedalus), yes I think another would help.

I would however not want them to have Channel Commander on TS otherwise FM chat becomes practically public.

I agree on that TL. Isnt there a password the commanders channel? That should ensure their privacy also.
