Yeah, cs_747 was a great map, and if the CTs play well as a team (which is the pint of our fridays on the hook anyways) it is actually well balanced.
On another note, regarding what BB said, are there any as_ maps for cs:s ?
I know about an as_ version of italy, but it's pretty much like normal italy except it has a helicopter on the roof.

cs_747 was an excellent map. If the T's camped (as they should) and the CT used some diversions and general sneakiness it's definitely a balanced map. Not sure it's been graphically upgraded for CSS though?

as_tundra ... now that was a fun map to play as CT :D especially if you were the sneaky sort! We actually managed several clan matches on as_ maps. Really good fun. as_ maps would make a great break from the usual bombs and hostages?

Any1 got a DL link to CS_Office_Extended? Didnt see it on the map list and thus not have it DLed.

Isn't there usually the possibility of DLing maps at mapchange? :g: ? that works fine for me except for that beirut map, that won't even work after the second time iv'e DLed it from that link thing :sideways:

Well, I DLed LostTemple, and it didn't work. It's in the right flolder and all, I'm just not too sure . . .

Probably to save costs on developer time.

I think we need to carefully vet these redone maps - I had a run-around on backalley v2 yesterday and it's really very buggy. Also the layout of the map in certain areas seems to have been changed a bit too much without any obvious reason. Lots of the old sneaky hiding places and jumping points have gone and there's a lot of objects that you cannot climb on top of (e.g. one of the dumpsters actually stops you from strafing along a ledge because it's invisible bump-radius overlaps.) which is what made this map imo. There also seems to be a weird inconsistency when you get into a vent - it looks too low as you acpproach but your vision/head then pops down an extra bit as you squeeze into the tunnel. Strange.

cs_cabaret looks like a good simple map.

Unfortunately the hostages break our "good clean family fun" policy. Watch out it overwrites some of the hossies sound files with female ones.

But I'm sure we could "modify" the content for our own use.

I fired up cs_747_css on a little server and it looks okay, some of the sounds for the footsteps are a bit of a strange choice, the cockpit door has a glass window and the curtains are now solid and have to be opened to walk through (still let bullets through though). But aparts from that it looks the same as the original.
