I'm bored

I'm bored of games, I need something new. I think I might have mild OCD but that's another story.

I've started replaying Half Life 2 and it's tedious, it's linear and broken up too much.

I've reloaded Far Cry which I do like, but I've played it so much I'm getting tired of it. (I always restart so I've played the camp and ship levvels at the beginning repeatedly)

Call of Juarez, was alright for 1/2 hour, then nothing new, not stunning, same old shoot and cut scene.

Football Manager 07, slooooooow....and how about a 3d match engine? Something photo-realistic and match of the day like would be good.

WoW, now here's a thing, I feel like I'm missing out, I start, I play for a bit, I get bored. I don't like grouping with people I don't know and I can't really group with those I do as I can't commit 4 hours to a dungeon, as it is I end up 'Shadowmelding' in a corner whilst I get whichever child is awake, back to sleep. I even considered paying someone to get me to 60 to hang out with the old school. I'll keep bashing away, and should be there by Christmas, by which time everyone will be level 120 in 'The Visit to the Chip Shop on a Busy Friday', which I believe is the name of the planned expansion for the summer.

Which takes me onto racing, I was enjoying that for a spell until my PC was shelved for a new kitchen. Well it's back on line and I could get the wheel out again, but....see above, those races I do get going on...3 laps in, I have to (check kids / get dinner out the freezer / pick the older ones up from work) - delete as approriate. That's why I liked TOCA3, pick up and play, but it did get repetetive.

I dug up PC gamers top 100 for some inspiration. Reloaded Deus Ex with fond memories, played the training level, got the hump and went and checked my auctions in WoW, got the hump and left that too.

Company of Heroes, 2 extended sittings, can't be arris'd. Rinse and repeat.

Uplink, was ok, nothing like taking work home with you.

Darwinia, over-hyped crap, I had no feelings for the pixelated fools. It was like a jazzed down Cannon Fodder  - which I'm sorely tempted to try.

I have PES7 which I haven't got round to configuring my joypad for. It just doesn't feel right on the PC.

Wii Sports - like it, Call of Duty 3 (Wii) different, not great, different. Zelda....boring, much as I try to convince myself otherwise.

Second Life, my god nice concept, double sh1t game, takes it's title to understand *** is going on.

I'm even figuring buying new hardware will fix my ill, it won't, I know that, but I'll still buy a dual core from the US to waste some money.

Oh, and to add, RB6 - Vegas, really liked it, shame it runs like a slide show on my PC, will try advance war fighter. Maybe it's back to BF2, if no-ones there, at least you can fly a chopper about.  CS:S, I'm trying, I even saw GFK on there, it was alright, but it wasn't like the old days, it seemed a little...clinical, no banter, no booze, limited fun. I dream of the evenings of de_nuke, de_torn and N42....the old days.

So, can someone save this ageing gamer. I need something like the ideal girlfriend. Sexy to look at, great to play with no commitment and big tits.

Call of Duty 2
Oblivion (although check your machine specs)
If you liked RB6 Vegas have you tried SWAT4? needs much less high spec kit to play well and a level never plays the same twice.

smite

I know your not supposed to give account details out but send me your info and i will try and level your hunter when i have a chance. It wont be quick but it will help.

I want you up with us guys at 60 so you can come play with us....you can get yourself to 70.

If you need to get one of the kids off we are never very quick in instances so you will be fine.....were used to Neil and his smoking habbit :narnar: .....oh and Armitage and his Big brother addiction.:roflmao:

Tried Oblivion, tempted to try again. I got as far as getting out the sewer, fighting some thing that looked like a bloke wearing an ill fitting leopard head and gave up.

Will try Swat 4 and the Star Treks. Also Splinter Cell - Double Agent. We'll see.

Call of Duty 2, been and done, I think I may be weird, I prefered MoH to the Call of Duty franchise, maybe because it was the first one done well, the rest seem to be more of the same. I fancy Sensible Soccer, but it's not the same without my old Atari joystick, and I have tried to figure out how to get it working.

I'd like a GTA based in the UK and more, kinda sensible. A bit like 'The Getaway' on the PS2, although the follow up was tripe.

sulky_uk

the problem with oblivion is that as you level up so does the rest of the world, so the drunk on the corner  who gave you so much hastle at level will still kick your ass when you are at level 40.

but there is a cure

it stops all the non important everyday npcs leveling up with you so that you can beat up the barmaid again:woot2:

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

Sounds like a man on a mission there, Sulky? :D

Must say, Oblivion was really good for me and I've almost finished the game I think. I reckon you still have loads of hours you can make in that game. The sewerpart was only for the start of the game and for you to get used to the game, more as a training.

I think another game might be something for you, think the name was Leisuresuit Larry or something.

Ah yea.. Little Larry.. It was the old game getting renewed right? with the guy with a big head, where you run around on campus getting drunk while trying to get laid as much as possible right?
Fun actually :D

I was thinking of trying the Indiana Jones (Fate of Atlantis) adventure in that mould. Leisure Suit Larry was crap really.

Quote from: Benny;174121Also Splinter Cell - Double Agent.

Personally i'd recommend you avoid that one :sideways: I bought it, having loved 1 & 3, but not 2. 1 & 3 were made by Ubisoft Montreal, 2 was made by Ubisoft Shanghai. Guess who made 4...

Buggy as hell, and the story just didn't grab me.
