I just compiled a list of feral stuff you can't miss out on if you decide this is going to be your end-game spec. Most of this stuff is easy to get (mainly quest rewards). I've split it up in DPS (cat) and tank (bear) gear. Some quest offer more then one good item, but the ones in the list below are 'the best' ones to pick as reward. I hope this is of use to anyone.

DPS gear:

Head: Netherstorm Eyepatch, Helm of the Claw and Headdress of the Sleeper (BoE world drop, has hybrid stats).
Shoulder: Cleansed Fel Pauldrons. Best shoulders I've seen, way better then T4 and T5 even, gives 127AP in cat!
Chest: Vindicator's Light Vest and Chestguard of the Talon (BoE world drop).
Wrist: Ruuan Weald Wristguards.
Glove: Gloves of the Nether-Stalker, Gloves of Ferocity (BoE level 60 world drop, seen them drop twice so far) and Windslayer Wraps (epic crafted, best feral gloves in game; they're rather expensive, but I just had to mention those :dribble: ).
Waist: Kirin'Var Scout's Belt.
Legs: Shattrath Leggings and Clefthoof Hide Leggings.
Boots: Supple Leather Boots and Studded Green Anklewraps.
Back: Nomad's Woven Cloak.
Weapon: Staff of Natural Fury (BoE epic world drop, dunno how rare it is).
Finger: Slayer's Mark of the Redemption and Band of Anguish, but you won't be able to take the Idol of the Avenger when you pick this as quest reward.
Neck: Natasha's Choker. Natasha's Pack Collar is another option that you can get as reward from the same quest, but the +hit makes the other one better DPS wise.
Tinket: Core of Ar'kelos, Uniting Charm, Bladefist's Breadth and Ancient Draenei War Talisman.

Tank gear:

Head: Helm of the Claw and Cobrascale Hood (Crafted epic; again, this will be expensive, but look at those stats :dribble: ).
Shoulder: Cleansed Fel Pauldrons, these shoulders are fantastic for everything :norty: .
Chest: Jerkin of the Untamed Spirit and Nickwinkle's Harness Experiment.
Wrist: Umberhowl's Collar.
Glove: Verdant Gloves.
Waist: Manimal's Cinch.
Legs: X-52 Pilot's Leggings and Nomad's Leggings vendor item (Consortium revered). Ash Tempered Legguards are the best by far, but those are from a Horde only quest :ranting2: .
Boots: Supple Leather Boots.
Back: Cloak of the Valiant Defender.
Weapon: Braxxis' Staff of Slumber BoE world drop (got one cheap (100g) of the AH a couple of days ago) and Staff of Beasts is nice for tanking non-melee bosses.
Finger: None, they're all pretty crappy. Do some dungeon runs and get Mok'Nathal Clan Ring or Iron Band of the Unbreakable instead.
Neck: Mark of the Ravenguard.
Tinket:  Dabiri's Enigma and Figurine - Dawnstone Crab (crafted).

Legs: Shattrath Leggings and Clefthoof Hide Leggings.
Off the clefthoof legs theres 2 kinds, ask wierd, he has the others.

Yep, that cloak is absolutely fantastic.

I wouldn't pick the resiliance trinket though. The crit damage reduction part of that stat is rather pointless and becomes even more pointless once you have more resiliance and +def, since you either won't be critted at all or the chances of that are really low. I'd go for something with +def or dodge% instead.

The list above mainly contains quest rewards and craftables. Maybe I'll write a new one with the 'best' 5 man feral drops later on. I didn't really look at those yet, since finding a lvl 70 group is pretty hard atm and I won't be able to get them anytime soon anyway :narnar: .

After talking to Vargen the other nite id like to stress the importance for a druid to save the above mentioned items that are the rewards of quests. They include some of the best armored leather items currently in game and losing them will cost you 1000's of armor end game.

Thanks Bastet :)

I haven't had time to go through that list of all the equipment yet, but I will take a thorough look at it when I get some spare time, so I can make a note on where the different things drop 'n stuff, so I don't accidentally vendor it or something...

i manged to missplace the jerkin, and that cost me 1000 armor in bear form (or about 1,5% reduction)

Oh man that sucks  . It's nearly as bad as picking the wrong UBRS quest reward (like I did back in my restro/balance days :sideways: ), the Mark of Tyranny is still the best tanking trinket at level 70.

Btw, it is possible to get Ash Tempered Legguards as Alliance, counterairy to what I stated earlier. Allakhazam just wrongfully listed the quest as horde only. It starts at some dude that's standing just inside the gates of Wildhammer keep in Shadowmoon Valley. I got them yesterday; I think I'm going to put some Clefthide Leg Armor on it and they'll be perfect.

Bastet

hmm i think i fatfingerd those too then  at least i can still get the mark and the smoking heart, as those 2 are the only trinkets that give armor, and theres just a tad bit more choise on legs/chests. replaced both w/ +45 stamina items though.

why you do think that...? its 1-2 % dodge.. you can get 3% dodge easy from the elementium thread cloak and stick a 1% dodge ench on it (chromaggus)

Well it's not the dodge that you're missing. It's the armor, in bear form that trinket gives you more then 1K armor. Because armor from items scales so well with bear form, it's still the best tanking trinket for a Druid. They didn't introduce any new armor trinkets in TBC unfortunately.

Bastet

still need to do that quest lol :)

3% dodge is still better then 1k armor @ the bears armor lvl

lets say you have 15-17k armor, another 1k will only increase it by a very small % (ide say less then 1%) so if that is the case, then 3% dodge > 1k armor

and remember, armor is reduction, dodge is a total miss, spell or melee (no damage suffered)

parry is the same but melee only

I thought dodge was only for melee attacks and resistances for spells !

hmm, afaik ive dodged spells... unless i was being attacked at the same moment.. hmm

anyways the previous argument stays 3% dodge > 1k armor @that lvl
