Having Mani Admin access is a privilege that can be removed.

If a senior admin is on the server then they will perform all admin duties, unless they ask for your assistance.  If you spot something wrong, then please use admin chat to let the senior admins know.
A list of senior admins can be found here. If no senior admins are on the server, try and keep the admin messages to a digestible level.  Too many messages from different people can easily overwhelm and they get ignored.

At all times try and keep the game balanced, that doesn't mean having the same number of players on each team, but having close rounds.  If the teams are heavily balanced to one side, then swap sides if you are on the winning team.  Let your teammates know your doing it or they might swap as well.

Now that we have better in game voice, make use of it.  Asking someone to do something over the voice comms will have a better result than loads of messages.

Whenever possible a message should be directed to the individual with the reason they were/are being slayed/kick.

Additions to Whiteys post

1. Do not ask ppl to swap sides at map change. This only creates confusion and very often unbalanced teams. It will only work if the majority are regulars. So, let them join and then you join so the teams are balanced. Final resort use the team balance thing in Mani.
I also think that this is not an important thing to "admin". It is better that we focus on learning them TCS than how to swap sides at map change.

2. Do not restart over and over and over again at map start. Especially with a 15+ players on the server. (I understand if it is 3 vs 3 and a restart is required.) You will only disrupt the flow of the game. A hint: if the bots are gone ... someone already have done a restart.

Also I would like to thank the Mani admins who already are applying what is in this thread. It worked well tonight. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

1. Swapping sides at mapchange is very important to the balance of the game.
The map rotation has been especially arranged(thanks to BB & Whitey) so that if you swap teams at mapchange you get to attack attack defend defend in a regular rotation.
It's always been a "thing" of dMw servers to change sides/level up/weight teams unevenly to preserve the balance of the map, or the player's skill etc.

if the problem is confusion about the messages at mapchange, perhaps we could put it in the adverts so that peeps are reminded well in advance?

2. I'm scared to restart in case I ban meself again:sideways:

I leave restarts to the experts:blink:

agree that the admining was A1 tonight though:D speshly mine:narnar:

Main thing is that MANI-admins should check if teams are unballanced or not and if so, they themselfs should swap, lead by example. We don't want one side that's winning 9-0 while the winning team has even 2 more players then the loosing team.

@ Blunt, try it again please. How often did you ban yourself allready? :winkiss:

The rotation have been arranged yes, but the main reason is for meathook and "real" TCS nights. Boomer have recieved this order by default (why do the work twice). Most of the new players will join their favorite side irrespectively if we ask them to swap sides at map change. My point is that if we limit the admin messages to what is really important i.e. playing TCS style that message will not get lost in the flood of less important admin messages that we have seen recently.

I think that it would be better two write the swap team message in the MOTD but not constantly policing it would be a middle way in this matter. Something like this could be added:

"Please change team at map change. CTs go to T and Ts to CT. Maprotation have been arranged so you will play attacking side one map and defending side the next."

Maybe not that long but in that ethos at least.

Don't worry, BB have removed your ability to restart Blunt. We are careful with the hardware dMw owns. A restart from you could easily format C:. We wouldn't want that. :flirty:

I don't think a message sent in the freeze time at the end of the round asking people to swap sides is an issue. I agree we shouldn't enforce it by moving people and it's better for dMw regulars to balance the teams but some of the non-regulars will become regular, so it's worth stating (once) at the end of the round.

There are times when we have no choice but to move people to balance play (if there are no dMw people on the winning team) but always ask first.

Le Rouge

I agree. But I, for exmaple, can't see anything at the end of the round, as the scores table takes almost all of my screen (and I guess there are other players like that too), so sometimes it may be a good idea to mention this at the pre-end or early stage of a map change. Also, I have noticed that even if you switch ppl to balance the game (after asking with no outcome), when there are only a couple dMw/regulars on, the switched usually understand and accept it. It's all a matter of manners.

Score: press tab, close score, press tab again, shouldn't be a problem really considering screensize.

offtopic: this has not been working for me at the end of the game, only during in-game...

In the end of the game the score comes up automaticly on my comp, pressing tab makes it go away again.

It doesn't really matter if teams are unballanced at the end of the map, it matters if teams are unbalanced the first round and usually after 3+ rounds, then  I reckon that people need to check if there's any action required for balancing.
